hi,

just upgraded desktop recently.

gigabyte (mobo) - h61-ds2

dynet (memory) - 4 GB single stick (1333Mhz)

procesor (G620) - 2.6 Ghz.

the BIOS shows dram running at 1064-1067 Mhz.

the voltage shows 1.5V however inspite of me changing the voltage to 1.6 it still shows 1064.5.

in cpu-z as well it shows 532 that is the actual frequency of the ra stick with the multiplier it still comes to 1067.

the mobo supports 1333. not sure how to make the ram run at 1333.

do i need to change the timing. for its right now on 9-9-9-26

.

please help.

Try forcing the frequncy in advanced memeory settigs in BIOS..the option should be under the Motherboard Intelligent Tweaker menu.

Let me know what happens.

i have checked all the settings in bios.. its a gigabyte. h61-ds2..

only dram voltage control and timing settings are available.

in frequency control.. max available is 1067 and below else AUTO.

after changing the dram voltage from 1.5 to 1.6 i see a change is performance and the windows performance index has increased from 7.1 to 7.2.

though not sure if the voltage change did that or something else.

also heard that 1.65 is the voltage needed for ddr3 1333Mhz however options that i have are 1.5, 1.6, 1.7 and goes on till 2.2.

though the max i tried is 1.7 for i do not want to fry it. 1.9v is ideally for 1800Mhz i believe.

other downside of the mobo is it is not raid enabled. my previous board for the same system was a xfx nvidia 570i was a good board for performance

but never worked properly. always had issues since day one..

another thing i checked is the proccy supports on the intel website shows only 1066Mhz. so i believe thats the culprit..

still anyway to make it force run at 1333Mhz.. even after voltage change upto 1.7 bios still showed 1064.5 only.
