The disappointing news of another delay for the GTA V for PC went viral as publisher Rockstar delays the launch of the PC version of the game yet again. The original release date for the game was January 27, 2015 which was postponed to March 24. It is still February month now however Rockstar has issued another announcement on its official site in connection with the release date of the game. Now April 14 has been given as the new release date. This may not come as a shock because of Rockstar’s past history in delaying the previous game for the PC but nevertheless it is disappointing as fans all over the world eagerly wait for PC version. Mention may be made that the console versions were released last year on Nov. 18 .
There is a silver lining in this delay as Rockstar has decided to compensate gamers who pre-ordered the game with a $200,000 in-game cash.
“Our apologies to PC gamers worldwide who have been counting down the days until the launch of the game, but a bit more time is needed to ensure that the game is as polished as possible, and to make certain that both Heists and the GTA Online experience are ready to roll out on day one for PC. As a gesture of thanks for your understanding, we will grant anyone who has pre-ordered the game an additional $200,000 in-game cash for use in GTA Online." (Online heists are scheduled to launch for the console versions on March 10).
It is disappointing for the fans but it is perhaps understandable because a more refined game with fewer bugs is much better to have in the long run than a botched game released early. Even more so because of its more advanced features for the PC. Whatever the case the end result will be a win for the fans. We just hope that everything will be ready in this new release date.
“The PC version of Grand Theft Auto V is our most graphically and technically advanced version yet, fully optimized to support a broad range of current hardware (system specifications) and features a host of PC-specific enhancements including greater levels of detail, deep configuration options and ultra-high-definition support – as well as the powerful new Rockstar Editor for recording, staging and editing original custom videos.”
Along with the new release date for the PC version Rockstar has also announced the launch date of the game’s “Online Heists” for the consoles.
“We are excited to announce that the launch of Heists for GTA Online is scheduled for March 10th. We know it’s been a wait, and appreciate your patience. Heists will bring a brand new 4-player cooperative gameplay experience to GTA Online, giving players the chance to team up to pull off a string of intense, multi-part raids and robberies across Los Santos and Blaine County. Over the next couple of weeks, we will have more information about the launch of Heists and about other new features that we will release with it.”
