From vrisihip's post I got the impression he has "currently active" FS threads. He does not, but it appears some members have contacted him via PM or WTB threads or other forums.

Isn't it true that he has done the same to TE members in the past.

What is true is that these members have not reported this in feedback threads and/or left him suitable -ve itrader feedback.

Hmmmm...this thread popped up right on time. Had bought a Nexus 4 from Knight, the speaker stopped working after a month, since last month the touch started becoming erratic and now the phone has become unusable.

I think there were 2 threads from the knight for the sales where @bking also posted about the issue with a Nexus 4 he bought.

By now, if the seller wasn't really at fault and not knowingly doing such things, he should have stopped such sales long back. I see he is still selling such phones on TE as well as Erodov(Apparently he is a Section Mod on Erodov where he actively responds to people blaming him which isn't the case here on TE)

This forum members believes in ethical practice, now if some member decides let ethics go to hell,we can't force him to be honest, can we?
The mods will do what they can do (enforce rules diligently on some, and let go some,its a grey area).

Personally imho they should all be blacklisted and banned for good. This guy is no different from our dear Imtiaz.

I know exactly what this feels like. A friend of mine bought a ps3 from ivg and eventually gave it to me. The ps3 was good (thank god!) but the controller gave me headaches after headaches until finally I opened it up and discovered it was a fake. I bullied my friend and forced him to raise a shit storm on IVG but it was 1 year+ since the sale and basically no one listened or care. This is one of the negative aspects of forum trades and sales, if more than 3 months have passed then no one will take you seriously.

Honestly, I think you should've never given this guy a second chance, the moment he screwed up the first time you should've taken that as a sign and walked away. After all, it was your friends money, not even your own.

This is my first and last clarification on this:

• I sold 4Pcs Note 3 to toxicdrift, psdatta, shantanilroy and a member named titana.
• I gave immediate refund to toxicdrift when he said he is not satisfied, and gave full refund in 3 part within 3 weeks to psdatta as well.
• I sold a LG G Pro (F240L) to titana and after receiving he said good to me but after 8 days he said his checked and found network issues on all F240L that’s why he need another handset and he opted for Note 3 (N9005). I strictly mentioned on thread no replacement after 2 days but I considered him.
• After one month he said he flashed a firmware and after that handset IMEI and baseband gone null and then he mentioned there is no matching S/N on back sticker and internal but IMEI matched.
• In that one month I sold last Note 3 to shantanilroy and he faced similar issues like titana, they both send the handset for repairs. My dealer said he will sent those to HK for repair. He also said it will take couple of months. I informed both the buyers.
• But after that note 3 issues I asked to dealer why this S/N difference? He told me that in that shipment all note 3 has that problem (I immediately removed all Samsung devices from the thread after August).
• Meantime Vrishi asked me to ship a nexus 4 black that he need for some friend. He paid me on 5pm and asked me to ship on that evening, I preliminary checked all things and shipped him. On very next day he told me that he compared with his coworker and he found that notification module is visible in my model and not visible on his coworker’s model, I told him to send me back and I will send the replacement, after checking around 30-40 pcs I send him a white pc after 1 week. But on that time my dealer said nexus 4 is genuine and that visible hole common in nexus 4. I didn’t trust him on that time but in after one month I checked that Nexus 4 has some revision and all new has notification module visible. Even I shocked when I see same visible module in Nexus 4 in a hand of a bus passenger in December. I asked him is it Indian or overseas? He said Indian.
• Now am coming to Titana’s Note 3, I gave him at October Rs. 4000 refund and a G2. He is satisfied. But no one ever know where the repairing cost of Note 3 is and who paid it? Actually I paid him the cash 4000 from by my side. Dealer deducted the repairing cost and gave G2 to me.
• Dealer said to me that he will provide shantanil’s set at December.
• At December dealer asked me to pay the 6000 for Note 3 and said he will give another Note 3 to me, I argued with him because I still doubt about Samsung. He said he can only give Note 3, nothing else. I asked on that day shantanil that I need 6000 he said that he has some problem and that time he has no money, in here I pay 6000 to dealer and I received the note 3 within 4 days.
• I asked shantanil to check his note 3 but he didn’t want that and asked me sell it of here in Kolkata. I personally have the set with me 2 weeks and I checked all the things exept the IMEI matching (it’s my fault I know).
• Nobody gives one month replacement warranty on imported devices even its refurb (that’s not the point), but I asked shantanil to send his handset and I will do my best to not give a Samsung devices.

In this thread everyone is blaming me but nobody knows I have faces lots of money, the dealer is my school classmate’s elder brother. That’s why I trusted him, also I sold 99 pcs of handset in two forums and eBay. Just received 3 complaints. I make only 400-500 from each handset but I guess everyone is thinking that I have gained lots of money in here. Even I gave replacement of 7 months old Xperia Z to DJANUJ only for 2500/- (he is facing heating issues and battery issues which repairing cost is approx. 2300/-). I am here for many years and have sold many Pc components so am not the new seller when I started selling mobiles. There is always buyers get preferences instead of seller I’ve seen in past. Anyways thanks for reading it. If you ban me then its ok or if you not then I’ll be here as a normal member just like I was. But before blaming anybody blindly like bigtime scammer etc. just try to think about his situation.

P:s- This is my all clarification in all matters. I checked Many sony handsets and HTC to service center and confirmed that they were not refurbished. So Its my bad luck or my dealer that he got only in Samsung.

1) In your thread you mentioned you ARE helping a friend clear stocks. Now you say DEALER, You have clearly mis-used the GO / Hot deals section. You should be made to register under dealer section and pay appropriate charges as well
2) No one here has said you are making lot of money ( wonder why every one thinks that phone dealers are minting millions )
3) You knew handsets were refurbs and re-conditioned - you should have stopped then and there.
4) We do appreciate that you gave refund.
5) You may have sold 100 pcs, but as we are not able to ascertain if the LG handsets were refurb so you got away with it.

Few member also reported that you didn't inform them first hand about accessory condition as few received Chinese charger along with on name of brand new device...

Why do you have to give refund if your device does not have any problem in first place...

I am not blaming you(well, why would I? No experience with you), but I am not entirely sure of your business model.
What you essentially do is sell the products from your friend, and either 1) make some money 2) dont make any money

So in case of
scenario 1) what you are is a re-seller. And as such you are accountable to the forum and to the people who buy the products.
scenario 2) you dont make any money, and what you do is help people get a good deal. Well in this case, it would be more convienient for you to just get your friend on TE and wash your hands off the issue. You cant use this alibi every time that the dealer is a friend of yours and that you will have to reply to him. Well, tell him that his products are re-furb, and as such either he should advertise them as such, or own up. In Indian Contract Act 1872, it is the duty of the seller to make sure the products are in the same condition as advertised.


I have heard this excuse of yours in almost every thread that the seller is a friend of yours and yoda yoda yoda.
Well, face it, we didnt ask you to broker a deal, it was you who posted the thread,and as such its you who is accountable.



I do appreciate the fact that you are stuck between a rock and a hard place everytime an issue arises, because you dont like walking up to your friend and telling him whats wrong, and neither do you like getting flak from the forum.

So my honest advice to you would be to get him on TE and tell him to do his sales directly. (unless you're actually making a buck, in which case, face the music baby)

Did you honestly not stop once to check the authenticity of what you were selling *before* selling it off to everyone on TE and E? Sure it was your classmates elder brother or whoever, but at the end of it all- for creating that GO and getting all the orders, YOU are accountable. No one else. You cannot jabber away about how much money you made or lost and who sold you the phones and expect us to sympathise with you when you claim to sell a solid phone and then it turns out to be a refurb.

Even if you plead ignorance at the first time, fine. But how can you do it twice? Didn't you think to check vriships phone inside out the second time before sending him another phone? You say you've sold pc components and stuff here before but how could you be foolish or ignorant twice. Maybe you've sold stuff here for years but even you'd be very pissed to discover something you bought from another member has worms in it.

You have mentioned only a few things, the entire history of events is mentioned by me in the first post which includes you telling me to sell off the phone locally and also mentioning over call "Aap bechdo wahan kisi ko nahin samjhega." You also happened to mention that you will send another one at the same rate but will be brand new.

If there was such a revision in the Nexus 4, it would have been all over the internet. Also the guy you saw in the Bus, dunno whether that story is true or not but same might have been purchased in kolkata locally hence the owner mentioned Indian or did you even verify in the Bus that he had manufacturer warranty too on the phone. I now suspect, the White Nexus 4 which i have was converted to a White phone from a Black one hence the housing did not have the IMEI sticker inside.

Leave all of them apart. You said that you stopped selling Samsung phones but Shantanil Roy seems to be selling a note 3 purchased from you on 9th January 2015. So much for the claim tat you stopped selling Samsung! Man stop making stupid excuses.

I have not asked for warranty from you in any of my posts/communications to you. Have I? On receiving the first phone, i was prompt enough of informing you in 10 mins after signing the courier POD. About others for whom you supposedly spent your own money in getting the items repaired/replaced, all of them might have been previously repaired/refurbished where as they were sold to the buyers on claims that they were NEW.
