Nexus 7 charger issue

Hi,
My nexus 7 charger suddently stopped working . I tried calling up asus customer care and they said to call up google support. So, it looks like there's no authorized service center for the same and will have to send it back to US/UK for any repairs . I bought a duplicate samsung micro-usb charger but it's not charging after first time wtf.

Can you please advise what should I do? Is there someone in Chennai who can look into the charger problem? Or a easy way to RMA the same? I dont want to spend any more cash on useless chargers as Nexus 7 is extremely picky about it. FYI- N7 Charger outputs 2A on 5v.

Asus CC have already said to contact Google Support as this product is not available in India???

I didn't use nexus7 charger from first day. I used my lww charger to charge both fone and tablet.

OT: How did you all source the Nexus 7.

Don't know about the RMA part but my iPad charger stopped working, I have been using this for quite some time and it works fine: Universal 10W USB Charger Adapter for Tablet PC 5V 2A IPad Samsung Tab, Nexus | eBay

I did charge the nexus 7 from this as well a couple of times and it seemed to charge well.

Even my Nexus 7 did not charge for few days and later I realized that the Micro USb port of the charger got burned. Thankfully my Nexus 7 port was ok.

I just replaced the cable and it now works fine. Could you also check if the issue is because of burned Micro USB port.
