discount

Use the discount coupon SHOPCOMP (valid till 21st) on Indiatimes to get 10percent more discount on it. Final Price = Rs.15300. I think it's a decent price for something that's totally new in the market. If you want to buy it buy it now.

Though the logical choice would be not to buy a device that has no card slot, no rear camera, no GSM connectivity and just 8GB inbuilt storage!!

Now im really confused....

Was contemplating on getting funbook - 6.5k
then changed my mind to few Chinese manufacturers and zeroed on ainol elf ii - 9.5k

now suddenly a thought came to my mind
if im spending 10k on a Chinese product why not raise a little and go for nexus

Then i pondered a little about why im getting a tablet in first place
and dropped the whole idea of getting one

This is exactly what's going in my mind. Wondering if I actually even need a tablet :p

I'm facing the same dilemma. I really want the nexus 7 (or any other good tab) but have no idea what I'll do with it. Looks tasty though. Will get the 16gb version if I end up getting it.

I will Never buy this device with this pricing. But hey guys you can get 16gb version for 19k from grabmore.in.The nexus 7 tablet has many problems.

1.No usb OTG support well most times they support diffrent controllers and keyboards but no mass storage devices.

2.8Gb is very limited after the OS and all the system files only approximately 6Gb users get.Well it sounds like good but trust me you will regret it.

3.There are some other hardware problems like screen popping out issues.

4.Hardware wise it is very good but they don't even support USB dongles.I don't think that i can carry wireless router and dongle all time with me

USB OTG is supported. USB MassStorage is fairly easy = Root+Stickmount. The cable is a bit of an inconvenience though.

Sorry dear friend even the rooting and stick mount will not offer you good USB OTG.If don't believe please check at xda-developers.com

USB OTG is supported. Not expecting any problems with dongles. They used to work even in the cheapo Gingerbread Chinese tablets, right?

I am really confused weather to buy nexus 7 or galaxy tab2.

Advantage of galaxy tab2

1. Sim slot
2.Front facing camera

Advantage of Nexus7

1.Very good processor and ram
2.More developer support

But i cannot make decision as i don't want to buy nexus 7 only to find out weather it support 3g dongles. So if any of you can test the 3g dongles on your device then it will be a great help for me and many others. Also on the xda developers i see many peoples complaining about the screen popping out issues does any body here experienced this and if yes how fixed it.

Waiting for 2 months and getting the Indian nexus 7, 16 HBO at 15k-16k would be worth it.

@ mannuel - light usage both tablets will be very good. You have to make a decision based on whether you want a tablet with 3g + calling or you want the best performance 7 inch tab, which has the best support from official and unofficial sources.
