Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Excite truck, Zelda and Rayman will be the titles to look out for.

Nintendo had previously revealed that it would be bringing a Wii capable of DVD playback to the Japanese market at a later date. The Wii we currently know does not support playback of DVD Movies much like its GameCube predecessor.

Sonic Solutions have revealed that their software based DVD player Sonic CinePlayer CE will be used in a future version of the Wii. This DVD enhanced Wii will be coming out in the later half of 2007.

Wahoo! Reviews are out for some of the titles on the Wii and it's all good:-
Wii Sports WII - 83.0%
Legend of Zelda WII - 97.5%
Excite Truck WII - 76.0%
DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 WII - 86.1%
Super Monkey Ball Blitz WII - 76.3%

Taken from gamerankings. Go Zelda!!!!!

If at all there is a Donkey Kong game, it will probably end up being another quirky bongo drum game again with the wiii somehow integrated, not a platformer like you're expecting.

Banjo was a game by Rare, a developer now owned by MS. They do have a Banjo title in the works but as you can guess, it's for the X360 only.

The difference being that Donkey kong was created by Nintendo so it's all theirs. Banjo on the other was created by Rare. They were just commissioned to create the Donkey Kong Country series, that is all. The same way Metroid was by Nintendo but is currently handled by Retro.

EXCITED WII USERS should learn to take it easy on their Wiimote, if one gamer's experience is anything to go by.

Something Awful forum user 'Tuxedo Jack' tells his tragic tale, and of how a friend enthusiastically playing Wii sports managed to impale a 60-inch rear-projection TV.

So, why weren't the gamers wearing Ninty's trusty wrist strap, designed to prevent such incidents from happening in the first place? Well, it turns out they were wearing the wrist strap, until it decided to snap mid-bowling and send the Wiimote hurtling towards the pricey kit.

Over enthusiastic gamers be warned. Pictures can be found in this thread The Awful Forums - Nintendo Wii BREAKS my TV - if you're not a member, just scroll down past the registration prompt
