Hi,

I wanted to know how many use Nivyah Broadband, and how good are their services.

Nivyah

I am thinking of getting the day 4Mbps /night 8Mbps plan which is for Rs.5626/-, As I work online, mostly Remote Desktop, TeamViewer, Logmein. etc.

Currently have Mtnl's 1Mbps Unlimited & Mtnl's 2mbps Night Unlimited plans

P.S. I stay in Mumbai

which area are you located in mumbai

i guess nivyah is available only in selected areas

i wanted one for myself in kandivali but it wasnt available and not available till now also

Well the speeds are crazy superdooper fast. I'm using it since Jan 2010 and I'm very satisfied with the service.

The initial setup was quite pissing off as they need to get permission from the cable operators in your locality and that's the main hiccup. But once they are setup in your area you can establish a connection within two days i.e. in my area at least. Setup and installation time could vary based on your cable operator :ohyeah:

Goregaon West , M G Road.

Yes Nivyah is in my area one of my friend uses its 256kpbs plan.

Yes its provided by a local cable operator.

Yes,Nivyah is available is Goregaon (W) >> MG Road

As i stay in the same area but in Jawahar Nagar

I guess,u should chk with SS Infotech i guess, they provide nivyah in ur area

I really can't understand why do you even need to consider such overpriced plans

Airtel 4Mbps Unlimited is for Rs.3500. And you will get 2Mbps post 100GB. Isn't that good enough?

In case you cross 100 GB and still want 4Mbps, just change the plan.

You will get much better service, practically the same speeds (don't tell me that you can notice a real world browsing difference btw 4 and 8 Mbps which is worth wasting so much money) and probably you will save some money too.

Been using it from 1 year , no issue what so ever . Downtimes are very rare ,i faced it around 2 times within 1 year and that to gets sorted out within 2-3 days.

My plan 550 rs day time 512 night 1 mbps unlimited download.

Probably because of Airtel's stupid Fair Usage Policy :@

Also when your on a 4Mbps plan 100GB is not that much :hap5: & once that is over and your speed gets downgraded the experience is not that good. Imagine having a 2 Mbps connection & then switching to 1 Mbps, I know this experience as i have both.

Also I am not sure which plan your are talking about  on airtel's website the only 4Mbps Unlimited plan i see is 4 Mbps till 6 GB, 256 Kbps after 6 GB @ 899 the rest of the plans are not unlimited except for another which is @ 1039 something...

@yashbhatt can i get the contact number for SS Infotech, In my area internet is provided by a guy called Prashant but he doesn't seem to care enough to respond.

My Local Operator says Nivyah's 2Mbps Unlimited for Rs. 2700/-

I don't see any unlimited plans there only Night Unlimited or Semi-Unlimited.

they had good speeds but they aren't now.since Match they have been giving low speeds

on 1MBPS where you should get 128KBps,the speeds go down to 500-600 kbps and fluctuate. They say that is how broadband works. In all their plans now the speeds are low.

They have also increased their plans as compared to original. They don't even provide their original customers who took plans in September-October the old plans. They say they don't care what plan you took, you will have to pay the new rates or they won't provide the connection. They try to impose.

Their executives are assholes,if you don't agree to them they cut the phone. Also you have to call them every month and renew or they cut your line

Also there is no multi-user in normal plans, you can't use WIFI.Plus their is a dial-up.Also they frequently disconnect you connection every 3-4 hours and you have to redial

I totally agree with you.

I had five network and now I have changed to Nivyah Broadband.

These people say 1Mbps plan but you would get max 512kbps download speed.:@

And as you said you can't connect a WIFI router that totally sucks big time,I also had the same issue so I removed Five network.

Atleast in Nivyah you get the promised speed.:hap2:
