No Galaxy Nexus for Indians: Samsung

If you were eagerly awaiting the launch of Samsung's much hyped Galaxy Nexus smartphone, there's bad news. Samsung has announced that it will not be releasing the Nexus phone in India.

Google and Samsung have partnered together to come out with Galaxy Nexus. The smartphone is powered by the latest Android 4.0 known as Ice Cream Sandwich. It also features Android Beam, face unlock, voice typing, HD display and 4G connectivity.

The disappointing announcement came through Samsung India's twitter page, "The Galaxy Nexus will not be launched in India. Watch this space for the next big thing!"

Rumour has it that Samsung has kept the launch on hold, while it focuses on its other major launch Galaxy S III, which will be unveiled in London tonight.

Recently, Google had revealed that Galaxy Nexus will be available on the new-devices section of the Play service, but even that option seems invalid for Indians.

Who wants this phone after 6 months of it's international launch, it's pretty much dated already

Samsung have never launched their nexus series in india on time or doesn't launched it at all starting from nexus one which was made by htc

which is launching today in london and might make it's appearence in india in a month or two

Its Old and Dated now.. 26K to Import? I can get an Xperia S/Droid RAZR at 28K and Sensation for 23K! Why this?

Anyway. Awesome phone for 23K price. Lets wait till price Dips!!
