You can ask them to convert this to 3 pin or maybe call them up and ask if they can modify it to run at lower speeds

You could try a diy solution to reduce the fan speed , adding a resistor on the power line will reduce the voltage therby the speed

Hmm .. I used one of the Noctua low noise adapters lying around and that hardly made any difference. It is a NA-RC7 which is 50 ohm according to this. Probably needs more higher resistance like the NA-RC12 which is150 ohm. Also I am not sure if the pinouts match. I will PM you in sometime if you can help.

A generous big hearted guy that he is, he did not take a penny for it. I just paid for shipping some spare cables and the fan itself.
Every now and then I come across members of this splendid community, for whom I cannot express enough gratitude. He is definitely one of them. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.
