this is a safety capture issue, ideally your PSU manfacturer should give you a new PSU without questions.

But indian laws isnt very strict and you might end up running behinde your rma guy for this

finally gave it for rma. they said it take atleast 15days.. i had heated argument with tirupati rep because long rma time & uncertainty over replacement. he said the would repair it:@
i need replacement.

on sad note; i am without pc till march.can't do my daily work :(

My CM 460W still runs like a dream :ohyeah: . Sorry I'm just trolling in here . Infraction to Seasonic for this issue  . On the sane side, why don't you get a standby psu?

use a 24 pin converter which will be available for around 50 or 60. I was using it for a couple of years and its fine. Dont use your 20pin psu directly. It may cause problems. Better get a converter..

A 24-pin converter is intended to be used with a 24-pin PSU so it can be used on a 20-pin motherboard, not the other way round!

offcourse i can buy a standby psu but it going to be waste. So i would using my phone for my daily computing needs.

Ps:this msg was also typed on my phone.

How much time does it take for seasonic RMA? It has been 2weeks and now they are telling me to come after holi.

I would have better brought 6 normal PSUs & used them alternatively in same cost; instead of spending 3k on this power brick:@

Yeah, personally I never saw fireworks during holi, especially via a pc. That would be a sight fore sore eyes.

Jokes apart, I think Gannu and some other bloke's seasonic unit had the same issue. Later gannu found out that it was the same serial batch (except the last 2 numbers, ofcourse :P) that both had, so most likely they were defect. Just ping gannu and ask him about it if he has any clue. If there is any connection, one will have to reconsider recommending any seasonic units for the time being.

Besides, its not everyday that a festival comes, you might end up going everyday just to get one/few/most/all of the components replaced if you use 1 of 6 "normal" (read: susbstandard/el cheapo), assuming they don't get burnt.

This is weird. Gannu got a fast replacement. I got a new Corsair HX620 within 2 days from Tirupathi new delhi.

I had to wait about 25days.

then I had very big arugement and they basically stopped answering. after that local dealer helped

he stopped buying from distri and distri 5lakh sales figure was reduced to zero in no time. so they were *forced* to replace my PSU. and gave me new Tagan PSU of same value.

All thanks to my local dealer, else I don't how I has claimed the warranty
