The Nokia 515 starts to roll out globally in September, starting in Russia, Germany, Switzerland and Poland. It will have a suggested retail price of 149 USD / 115 EUR before taxes and subsidies

Should be way cheaper than the current price. It has breached even the Lumia 520 price. However, with so many phones being released, Nokia can really fit in such models in their portfolio.

apart from its pricing it seems to be a rock-solid basic phone for those who doesn't need smartphone

There are people who don't like touchscreens and currently there's no premium phone in the market for these customers (read people who love their old nokia phones).
This would fill that void, its a gamble by Nokia but I would say its a nice move.

I like it - if it has a good screen this works out as a great second phone, or even one for people like my folks who can't handle a touch interface. They're on my hand-me-down N85 which they love to bits - every button and hardware feature still works like new (down to the button response), the screen is in top-notch condition and you still get 3 days out of a single charge. And it's six years old in a few months, with four in active and heavy-duty usage. It's also far, far smoother than my Droid, with about a quarter of the hardware.

Not every product works for everyone, and conversely not everyone needs the exact same product, as some posters would imagine. There are different people with different needs in every product category - before you diss it think about that as well. This is not going to set any sales charts afire, but it is a niche that will work in limited markets and audiences. I'm sure Nokia knows that too. They wouldn't have set any ambitious targets for this phone.

At that price it should have front cam and video call otherwise not worth the premium . Asha os cannot compare with wp8 anyway .

Like the Moto Razr V3. Oh man, I so loved that phone when it was out. Slick device!
I still use a flip phone. Have Motorola wx295. Looks beautiful, can make calls, has alarm clock. I don't expect anything more from a phone.
A year before, Motorola had Gleam on sell. It was selling for 3.2k on flipkart. I so regret not getting the phone that time. LED display on the flip top was to die for.
eBay has Motorola V3i on sale for 4-4.5k. But I don't know of their genuinity.

Sorry for going OT. :P

I have been using my old N79 for the past month since my old HD2 broke and to be honest, it is very refreshing. The battery life is a healthy 2 days, Whats App works great, the camera is pretty good and it has so many unreasonably awesome features like the a jog dial and notification light built into the d-pad, lens cover, stereo speakers, 2 step capture button and auto-themes based on the back panel. Since my tab handles all my extra apps, I've have no qualms about using this phone at all except for the small screen size.

If only this phone had a larger and high-res screen, I'd actually recommend it to people willing to take a chance.
