Nokia 5230 : Discontinued?

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to buy Nokia 5230 but after spending hours drooling and researching about it on the net, I found many people saying that it has been discontinued. I went to a priority dealer and he also said the same. He said that the nokia 5233 was gonna take its place.

Can anyone confirm/deny its availability in Delhi?

that would be really bad if it happens because 5233 doesn't have 3G though it's 1k cheaper.

Check with stores like univercell, Mobile Store and Global access
 
I got 3 pcs. of the same handset on Friday. They are selling as hotcakes.

The only reason I can think of if this is true is that the 5230 is eating into the sales of the 5800.
 
^^that is correct. With wi-fi being the only difference it clearly was eating 5800XM's sales. by omitting 3G too, more people will go for 5800XM.
 
5230 is the best deal with 3G, GPS without GPRS, etc

damn, Why did Nokia released 5233, just to save a$ of 5800 ?
 
My friend got the 5230 2 days back ....the phone had everything he needed ...he was like he don't needs a WiFi cause he does not have a Router nor his office has a WiFi so overall he was happy with the phone and got it for 8500rs in mumbai ..i saw the phone it was good only thing was frustrating was the touch screen , had to press each and every option more than 3-4 times was really a pain !!! overall phone was good in a decent price

Anybody know how to mark multiple files/messages in a flick, no need to go to annoying mark each time option

And lastly does anybody u know how to COMPLETELY(no switching of profiles) turn off the camera sounds.

What is the best rate for the 5230 in Delhi? I got 3 pcs. for my sis-in-laws for 8100 from Shillong. My dealer has a lot of pieces with him.
