Nokia 5800 as DOWNLOAD rig ???

Nokia 5800 has wifi which can be used for torrent downloading using Symtorrent 1.4

I found that it supports multiple torrent downloads

But i have a doubt whether heavy data torrents about 4-5 GB can be downloaded using it efficiently i mean good speeds without hanging and other such interferences

will the phone be able to handle it.

guys please shed some light on this topic
im planning to buy either 5230 or 5800 (only if this feature is possible)
 
don't spoil your phone and memory card. frequent writes to flash memory will reduce its life significantly.

continuous wifi usage will cause more heating and will drain battery quickly therefore charge cycles will increase and will result in decreased battery life.

Torrenting on your phone will kill the phone, its battery and the memory.

I'm speaking from experience.
 
strict no no for a mobile fone as a download rig

i used w595 for heavy internet browsing and downloading and ended screwing it up

Not necessarily. Prolonged downloading along with charging could quite possibly damage the phone pcb due to exessive heat, if that happens, your warranty is void.

Yeah why Not ..Dude i will say go for it..
now these days .. Net books are coming .. for 13K. and these NOKIA..Blackberrys.. etc.. are charging us so.. high to get WHAT.. ?? i will say.. lets grill these fones.. and ask them to give us better mobiles.. not .. just Fu*king.. mobiles with.. tiny processors.. and tiniest ram.. and cheap pcbs...and do lets me know if u know how can i do it with my Blackberry.. le me see how they void my warranty for extensive use of mobile.. while they charge me for almost Equivalent to a dell Laptop..

hi everybody i use my nokia 2700 classic for browsing and also for dwnlding via PC. will this hamper my cellphone?? :huh:

my experience is
5320xm using UMTS, charger plugged in for all night
*speed 25-30-35
*time taken to complete 700mB rip is ~7hrs
*phone's temperatures rise abnormally(i don't care tough its winters and it feels good lol):eek:hyeah::eek:hyeah:
*all in all its not recommended

Dude give us some more details like ur service provider.. process etc.. i m sure a lot of guys must be looking for this kinda stuff..
