Of all the things in the world, Nokia Tube is the last thing that an iPhone user would be jealous of! Lol!
 
I have a serious size issue with iPhone I mean I'm scared of cracking the iPhone in my trouser pocket. Still cant say anything about Tube tho.
 
I don't think any new phone released should be compared with the iphone because it makes the iphone look better than it really is.

The iphone is better than the 5800 at only one thing,its looks. I don't see how any rational person would disagree with that.
 
even that looks advantage will be no more once nseries touch screen phone will be out ..:) not sure abt model though .. n83 or n97 ..
 
Iceman that anti touch only comes handy when you are browsing... Mainly for resizing.... Nothing really worth eying for...

It doesn't take much to be technically competent. As long as you go by the book, you're "technically competent". It takes a lot to write a good review however - something my russian droogies over at mobile-review.com don't know how to do.

No, actually the corollary would be - date and marry hot chick with a pretty face who may not be all that good in bed. But you what? She'll learn as time goes by. Like the iPhone has. Unlike the ugly chick who's allegedly good in bed: she'll stay ugly for the rest of her life. Like your Nokia Tube over here.

Look at the tizzy all you Nokia fanboys have gotten into. And all I said was that the Tube is ugly. Talk about insecurities :P

The form factor of the Nokia 5800 looks rather pleasing to the eye due to the use of wide screen (16:9) aspect ratio for the screen. In contrast, the irregular (3:2) aspect of the iPhone screen makes it look not as pleasing. I don't care much about how slim or thick a phone is, but the breadth of the iPhone is a little too large. half an inch less and it would have been pleasing to look. Even HTC Touch HD has similar dimensions as the iPhone and does not look very pleasing to the eye. But at least the actual screen aspect is different.

So anyone who says that Nokia 5800 looks ugly should probably feel the same about the iPhone for that matter. If they do not, then they are saying it just for the heck of it and should be ignored. :rofl:

Anyway, I don't see why this phone even has to be compared to the iPhone for that matter. They are definitely not in the same league. Nokia 5800 is a mid range value for money phone (that exceeds peoples expectations for a $390 Phone) while iPhone is a costly high end phone (that falls short of expectations for a $700 phone).

btw, if you didn't get me, I never said iPhone is ugly (though I find it to be too large breadth wise and has the boring Mac OS UI and color scheme).

However I did say the Nokia 5800 aspect looks a lot more pleasing compared to the iPhone. So if anyone finds Nokia 5800 to be ugly, then he should also find iPhone to be even more uglier and anyone who thinks iPhone looks good should find a Widescreen aspect phone like the Nokia 5800 even more pleasing. :P

A phone with aspect ratio near the Golden ratio would be found to be pleasing to the subconscious mind even without giving too much thought about it. This has been confirmed on a large scale through polls and that's why we have wide screen displays.

i still dont get it how ppl can find the tube ugly and iphone awsomely good looking. arent they quite similar with minor differences.

they are running out of points to bash the tube so creating new ones like iphone looks are perfect and anything else with a lil change in design is ugly.

Dunno if TB owns so many l33t Apple gadgets as Czar does.

TB loves his iphone which's another thing.

BTW aint this war over yet? :P

The 5800 is a good phone and so is the iphone.
