Nokia 808 PureView vs Olympus E-PL2 vs Canon 5D Mark III vs Apple iPhone 4S

Gsmarena did a test to measure the camera performance of the Nokia 808 Pureview against high resolution cameras . They pitted the huge 41MP sensor of the 808 Pureview against the Canon EOS 5D MARK III and Olympus E-PL2 large-sensor interchangeable lens camera . The iPhone 4S was also included in the test .

The 808 was used in full resolution mode and images were upscaled to 38MP resolution to prevent loss of details .

The pics below show how well the monster 41MP camera of 808 Pureview performs -

Dude nokia 808 is really good,better than the rest... only canon eos 5d mark 3 beats it by an edge..
 
upscaled or downscaled? 41MP -> 38MP is downscale, no?
and the gsmarena pics have a typo. ESO instead of EOS. lol.
i wont even bother to ask why the iphone was included. it doesn't have similar specs camera as the other two.

I don't think it takes pics at 41MP due to the aspect ratio, it gets cropped to 38MP. By default its set to 8MP output, so it takes a pic at 41mp and downscales it to 8MP filtering out the noise. So I guess they have set it to take pics at the max allowed setting of 38MP

its actually 38MP pics of 808 , other cameras were oflower resolution so upscaled to 808's resoltion
 
hmm Nokia is fool us about the worst advertisement and making money for selling profit :|
