Got a BB torch , wanna transfer my 530 contacts which is in my nokia 6500 , tried backing up to windows contacts and then sync using BB desktop manager, but some numbers gets missing in that.. any other easy way to get this done? pls help me out...

1. Install PC Suite on your PC

2. "Sync" your Nokia phone's contacts to Outlook

3. (Optional step) Export this as a .CSV file

4. Install BB Desktop Manager

5. Configure Sync settings to enable Outlook->Phone sync of contacts

You are good to go.

You can try BT pairing, but it did not work for me. Use Nokia Suite and transfer to Outlook and use BBM and pull it off Outlook. I got all my numbers.

outlook express or microsoft outlook?

just a question... Cant nokia phones take a backup of contacts in csv format on the mem card itself????
If they do then just upload the csv in google or yahoo contacts and when u set up ur mail for the phone goto email settings and configure it to sync ur contacts and calendar... And u are all set google keep a database of ur contacts also if u do not take regular backups also

I'll tell u the easiest method :

1. Take a backup of the contacts in Nokia, and then open the file with a software called NBUExplorer (Freeware).
2. Extract all the contacts in the form of .VCF from it and save them.
3. Use the software "ABC Amber Converter for BlackBerry" and convert all the .VCF into a single .IPD BB Backup file.
4. Transfer this to your BB Torch 9800.

^ it can be done, but i think u need to have ur smartphone rooted. Like i have mentioned above, u can extract SMS'es as .vmg files from the Nokia backup using NBUExplorer & then using Android SMS Importer, .vmg can be transferred.
