Nokia Extended Warranty

Went to the Noia Care Centre to get my E63's firmware updated. Got to know that Nokia has started offering 1 year extended warranty for products still under warranty. Immediately got mine extended since my cell phone warranty would have expired in 2 days.

So if you plan to use your current Nokia for at least 2 years following are the charges:

Series 1000 to 2000 - Rs.140 (127 + 10.3% Service Tax)
Series 3000 to 7000 - Rs.565 (512 + 10.3% Service Tax)
Series 8000, E, N - Rs.1,414 (1,282 + 10.3% Service Tax)

I believe this can be done only at Nokia authorised retailers/ care centres.

Can you tell me how does 1 year extended warranty gets applied?

for example, If I have 6months warranty remaining and I purchase this "Nokia Care Protect".

A) Will I have 12+6=18months warranty

or

B) only 12months warranty, previous warranty won't be carried forward?

No I checked with them and cannot be done with out of warranty phones
