Nokia has made its Windows
Phone 8 Lumia devices available for purchase in India over the weekend and has already seen great demand for both of them, it seems. The two handsets were put up for grabs through major retailers in the country, and both of them appear for have been sold out fast. Apparently, the cheaper Lumia 820 handset proved more popular than the Lumia 920 at specific retailers, despite the fact that it is only a mid- ranger. Retailers UniverCell and Sangeetha both confirmed strong sales of the two handsets, and both appear to have exhausted supplies of both devices. On the downside, however, is the fact that the two handsets are offered without discounts, and that no special offer is available for any of them, as NokiaPowerUser notes. In fact, it seems that the Wireless Charging plate that was offered to Lumia 920 buyers for free in other markets is missing from the offer in this country, although users have to pay the full price for them. There’s also good news for those interested in the purchase of a Lumia 920 smartphone, as Nokia is making it available with the PR1.1 firmware installed right from the start. Nokia officially confirmed the availability of Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 in India only last week, when it also announced that it was planning the release of Lumia 620 in the country in February (though it did not offer a specific release date for it as of now). Nokia’s suggested price tag for the Lumia 920 was set at INR 38,19, while the Lumia 820 was released with a suggested cost of INR 27,55. The flagship Windows Phone 8 device was launched in India in yellow, red, white and black color flavors, while the mid- range Lumia 820 was made available in red, yellow, cyan, white and black.
Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 Already Selling Well in India

Within 3 months they will be at 25% discount. This is a guaranteed fact of life.

I call bullshit.

That would mean the Lumia 920 would be retailing at Rs. 28,650/-, which I don't think would happen in 3 months.

And the Lumia 820 at 20,670/- ? Dream on.

Hahaha, what a Joke.Nokia India might have got 20 pieces for both the 920/820 and you would expect that much sell. They should have given the actual sale numbers like APPLE/SAMSUNG boast about.

Well they feel they are like their one time sister company Vertu wherein they need to sell just 20 pieces to be in the top of the league.

Nokia always think Indians are fools and launches its mobile at sky high prices
Are there any offers for exchanging with old lumia atleast...i don't think so...
