Nokia N82 Hard Reset..

To do a fully hard reset you must switch off your N82, and then do the following combination:

1. Hold down the following three buttons: Green (the call answer button), * button, and '3' button.

2. While holding these buttons, hold the power button for a second to switch on the phone.

3. Release when the phone shows the nokia hands logo

It may take a few attempts and very flexible fingers.

the popular code "*7370#" is to reset the phone to factory settings, and not a fully hard reset and the code "*7780* is for a soft reset [original settings].

well my n82 was behavin really wierd from past 2 days..
whenever i tried to open nokia maps it would hang.

in other nokia forums it was mention to type the number codes to do the hard reset... i kept on trying but nothin did good to my cell..

i thought of giving a one hard look at the google search once more and found this...

as it helped me, i guess it would help someone too. hence posted here

try it then...

make a backup of your phone in ur pc with nokia pc suite before u proceed.

do remove ur memory card before u hard reset.

Confirmed. Works on N81 aswell.
