While we weren’t able to verify BGR India’s claims, there have been quite a few leaks, which suggest an impending arrival of the smartphone. Also as per the import data on Zauba, Nokia has been testing X2 since February this year and the phone could very well be in the manufacturing stage by now.
The company could also be looking to announce the phone earlier than expected as the reaction to Nokia X has been poor and much better budget Android phones like Moto E have arrived in the market.
Microsoft might be hoping that improved specifications in X2 might result in more sales. As per a recent leak, Nokia X2 will feature Android 4.3 based Nokia X software platform, 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 4.3-inch WVGA display, 5MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage with microSD card slot. The phone will also include dual-SIM support and 3G connectivity.
