Not able to play GOW: Gost of Sparta in PSP 2004

I have PSP 2004 4.0 M33.

I had downloaded the GOW: Gost of Sparta, but i am unable to play it. When i click on the "X" button a blank screen appears and nothing will come

My friend used the same file and he could play it in his PSP 3004.

Why am i not able to play? is it bcoz i have older version of firmware?

Oh is it i was not aware. But i could see a thread how to downgrade PSP....this explains how to mod a psp.

Yes because you can run the homebrewn applications on it. There is no harm done.

unfortunately, the gaming and gaming console forums is rife with discussions on pirated stuff (although not directly), I can't blame this guy for asking the question.
