Notebooks and Laptops?

Hope this is the place to post these things, anyway I was wondering what you guys would recommend?

Budget is around 52 - 55 grand. Want to buy a good laptop/notebook.

What would you guys recommend?
 
Dell are very good too..... They would be my pick. Compaq/HP have also improved their quality off late.

Toshiba and Acer are of course very good VFM(in toshiba's case, not so much) and very reliable.

If you can, wait for sometime....wait for Intel to release Core 2 Duo mobiles. Then prices of old lappies will fall (the COre Duo models).

Agrees with wht Nikhil said. Wait for merom, By then the prices of Yonah (coreduo) NBs will fall rapidly. Then go buy a Yonah NB.
