News NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Is 2x Faster Than 4080 At $999, RTX 5070 Ti 2x Faster Than 4070 Ti At $769, RTX 5070 Faster Than 4090 For $549

I wrote this already, Grredia (NVIDIA) can only achieve more performance using software or cheating called as DLSS. I think from hardware perspective, they have done whatever best they could do or I feel they are limited.
But one thing is there - RTX 5090 took the title from RTX 4090 as the new king.

I'm personally looking at upgrading to the 5070Ti from my 3080.
At 80k? that too if you can get a FE card at that price most are going to be priced well over that and the reports of low stock at launch and the fact that it doesn't perform any better but rather worse than a 4080 I think it is a really bad deal at that price you can just get a brand new 4080 for 87k right now without having to wait or just not upgrade I think the 3080 will easily serve you well for another 2 years at 1440p and there have also been talks of frame gen coming to the 30 series there will just be no point in upgrading. Just to see how bad 5070 ti is going to be look at this:

not my king, my king is still the 1080ti my GOAT

Brand new 4080 for 87k!? Where? Currently i'm waiting on the 5070 Ti as well since i'm upgrading from a laptop 1660ti (pretty much any gpu is an upgrade at this point)
What do you reckon the pricing of the partner cards will be? Since the FE is priced at 80k

Yeah, I meant relative to pricing.
There's a reason why they didn't include DLSS4 FG with the 40 series, nobody would buy the 50 series otherwise, specifically the 5090, coz it sucks without it.

@enc0dex264 you shouldn't have sold your 4090

@saifbukhari Don't waste money on this PoS card.
I'm still going to get the 5090 tho no regrets.. I've always been of the understanding.. that the 4090 was never really a full 4k raw performance card for newer triple AAA games.

for eg: even bf 2042 was non playable on 4k without dllss.

for eg.. Wukong without DLSS was bearly playable at max settings.

In the charts.. they say 30% performance uplift only.. but for most realistic scenarios when you actually start gaming or playing.. the difference between 50-60 frames and 50-60+ 30% frames i.e 80-90 is alot. This difference is not seen on the chart.. but 80-100 vs 50-60 frames is a day and night difference between playbility.

On top of that you get DLSS4 and more VRAM for other tasks like AI model training etc. I've been dabbling into it AI alot recently because of my job and find it very interesting.

and so even for the times where i am not gaming which is like 95% of the time, i should be able to get some use out of it..

if still nothing i'll just sell compute on some crytpo website like akash network or something and get the difference cost from the 4090 back somehow.

I know the cost doesnt make sense.. but for people like us who appreciate good and the latest tech and most importantly can afford it.. i think this card still is a good buy.

jk, best of luck on the upgrade may you be able to play wukong with all the frames you wished for. BTW this is what the pricing is going to be at MSRP by the AIBs just add 20% automatically for the pricing here+the scalper pricing due to low supply.

Yeah no way im spending that much.. 2-2.1 max, makes no sense above that..

Also can anyone comment about the liquid metal on the FE cards? from what i know liquid metal needs to be replaced after a few years? which makes no sense for a card which is so expensive and so complexly built???

AIB cards might be more reliable in that regard? people who are planning to buy please share your opinions.

Best case scenario would be an invite from RPTech for MSRP.
There are always msrp cards from aib partners.. zotac's and inno3d's roughly the same price as msrp almost always.

and all of them perform the exact same.. makes no sense to get the strix's and aorus's of the world.

what has me worried about the FE is the LM.. what if it dries out in the 4th year post warranty.

I'm not buying anything other than a FE 5080 at this point cause at 1.07 it's already a pretty ridiculous price.. if i can't find an FE, i'll probably just wait or get a 4080 Super for 80-85k and probably not be happy with it totally (gaming at 4k and i like to play the latest AAA games) but it'll still be an uplift from where i'm at atm (using a 4070 super temporarily).... i HOPE i can get a 5080 FE at launch from nvidia website x.x

there probably won't be any msrp models till march they will mostly just paper launch at least according to the rumours and the reports

Maybe the pny or the gigabyte windforce ones are cheaper but other than these and some other there is no hope for msrp cards and these too launch much later than the actual launch date
Exactly.. this is going to suck even more for 5070Ti which doesn't even have an FE... so 5080 FE it is for me IF i can get one x.x

If I look at value for performance, 4090 for 1.2L (used probably) is a better suited. I knew that 5090 will not be a beast, its more like a 4090S and not even a 4090Ti.
5080 might just be there or near to 4090 in performance.
The temps are high for me -
