News NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Is 2x Faster Than 4080 At $999, RTX 5070 Ti 2x Faster Than 4070 Ti At $769, RTX 5070 Faster Than 4090 For $549

No one is telling prices before 30th sadly.. all are saying AIBs will declare pricing on launch day... I wonder what they are afraid of :/
Yeah it's pretty annoying, I wish nvidia wouldn't do this and just delay until they have tonnes of stock for every region but hopefully we all get one at a fair price tomorrow

Getting nvidia at a fair price is a dream. Even AMD is going to price their 9070's exorbitantly that it wont stand a chance there by making nvidia as a gamer's alternative. But I hope Intel will make Arc B580 more feasible for gamers by improving its software and making more gpu's with higher Vram.

The RTX 5080 review has leaked, showing an overwhelming 7% improvement over the RTX 4080 Super and RX 7900 XTX. Just a reminder—you don’t need a flashy jacket to win over your audience if the product speaks for itself.

This gen is chalked.

Wow that's so disappointing :( guess 5070 ti is the play if it's close to a 4080 for ~27k less

NVIDIA has been creating FOMO for years with its limited supply strategy, and as always, some people will keep buying despite knowing how absurd the performance uplift is this time.

What really frustrates me is that this happened right when I was finally planning to build my PC after a long time. They’ve completely derailed my plans.

They probably prefer to sell to AI and then sell defective pieces that have to be scaled down as gaming gpus. Hence low supply.
There is a chance that AMD will give good value this time with good supply. Hopefully. But only mid tier.

Looking at how intel gpus sold out, there is clearly a lot of demand for no shit gpus at good value in lower price points.

Well even that AI bubble has burst with the emergence of Deepseek catching everyone off guard. As always, the stock market remains as reactionary as ever.

More AI involvement means less focus on rasterization and more reliance on fake frames. I wouldn’t be surprised if we start seeing them listed in game requirements soon.

5080 reviews are out. Not looking good at all

Keeping fake frames aside, this shit is only 9-15% faster than a 4080S. Hey, but at least the price is the same (good luck getting one at that price for a year, at least :clown: ). This gen makes makes the 40 series look like the 2nd coming of Pascal, in comparison.

Yeah honestly the biggest feature this gen has, MFG is kinda useless in most cases compared to just single frame gen. The 4080 super is looking pretty good rn.. good job nvidia

The original marketing released by nVidia for the 5080 was that it was supposed to be 2x faster than the 4080 for the same price. FFS, it's only 67% faster than the 3080 w/o fake frames (according to HWUB). THE 3080, WHICH CAME OUT ALMOST 5 YEARS AGO :playful:

I've decided to wait.. 5080 is not even worth at FE prices honestly, which i was still willing to pay, let alone what AIBs will ask for this... might as well get a 4090 if i can find one... x.x

Yeah sadly 4090 is too expensive for me and I can't risk a used one with no warranty at these prices. This really ruined my hype of building a new pc but it is what it is. I guess 5070 ti is calling my name

in this case 5080 needs to hit 4090 levels.

could be the RIGHT buy this generation or maybe a 5080ti/Super refresh in a year's time will match/surpass 4090.

it's gonna be 5080/Ti/Super that will CRUSH the 4090 prices, especially when Multi Gen Frame becomes commonplace. 75 Games at Day 0 sems like a Superb start for DLSS 4.

Whether we like it or not, this is the WAY.
This aged like milk. It'd be funny if it wasn't sad...
