Would love to see how it fares alongside the HD 6950. The performance would be a notch lesser but if the price in India is in the range of 15~16k and thereabouts, this is a sureshot winner.
Yeah it should be only slightly more expensive than HD6870 @15.5k will then will end up ~2.5k cheaper than the HD6950. Hopefully this shloud force HD6870 to 13kish levels and availability of 1GB HD6950:P

Edit: Zotac GTX560 Ti: Rs. 15,775/- (preorder) from Yantra Online in the forum that cant be named here :P

bye bye HD6950, bye bye HD6870..

GTX560 Ti FTW

AMD Slashes Prices of Radeon HD 6800 and HD 6900 Series Products AMD finalized its recalibrated product pricing of Radeon HD 6800 and Radeon HD 6900 series products in the wake of NVIDIA's launch of the GeForce GTX 560 Ti later today. NVIDIA's new GPU is expected to revive the green giant's competitiveness at a key sub-$300 price-point, which could destabilize AMD's SKUs in the price-proximity. Without many options left, AMD is setting the following new prices (EUR and USD):

•Radeon HD 6870 1 GB: 189.99€, $219

•Radeon HD 6950 1 GB: 225.00€, $259

•Radeon HD 6950 2 GB: 239.99€, $269~289

The prices should be in effect very soon. Prices apart, AMD will also release a new driver that will bring about considerable performance improvements to all Radeon HD 6000 series GPUs.

Price cuts already :P HD6950 almost priced similar to GTX560.

Well, I got an update from Nvidia India guys and its priced at INR 15,879. I am not too sure if that's the MRP or street price, but I seriously doubt company personnels will give a street price because of obvious difference in rates between stores/models/cities.

Great performance but the 6950 is still a better buy atm as you can unlock it. Once that goes there's little to choose between them

The card in Xbitlabs review is a 2GB 6950 right? but again with the AMD price cuts the
6950 1GB = 259$
6950 2GB = 269 - 289$
560 Ti = 249$

The 560 is roughly 8-10% short in performance with the 6950 2GB and that percentage will decrease with the 6950 1GB, so its your choice whether you want to spend some 40$ extra for a 8-10% better performing card... And if its possible to turn the 6950 to 6970 or some what close to 6970 then forget the 560 and blindly get the 6950..

Wait for a month for the Indian prices to settle down and you will get a clear picture of the best GPU in the 14-16k range and i hope and wish there are no further releases from the red and green camps as already people are breaking their heads to choose a GPU and particularly not to repent for their purchase as new cards keeps coming on..:P

Sorry buddy, was busy in posting my msg and your message came up before mine.. hmmm cabinet restrictions then no other choice.. go for 560.. since the upcoming games are cross platform I guess these monsters (GPUs) need not be that powerful and the 560 should fulfill all ur gaming needs for the next 2 years..

Doesnt matter since both of these perform very similar unless you game beyond 1920 where 2GB kicks in and shows its muscle..:)

Your cabby already supports > 10" longer cards

High end graphics card support, the Gamma features space that is especially designed to fit longer 10." cards
NZXT Gamma

You can't even go wrong with GTX 560, grab one which is cheaper and fits your cabby :)
