any ideas?? :)

hey mate

me having the same core combo :), here are my raw BIOS Blueprint , needs a lot of tweaking but it would give u an idea :)

CPU Voltage : 1.4

PLL : 1.78

FSB Termin : 1.50

D.Ram : 1.95

NB : 1.4

SB : 1.4

PCIE : 1.6

LLC Enabled

Cpu Spread - Disabled

PCIE Spectrum - Auto

Which gets me to 3.43 GHZ

And just Reset the bios jumper for a coupla minutes and then try OC'ing

My highest FSB is 485 :) Might be even better for u :)

^^arent those volts a bit too high??

btw, i cant even run the proccy and ram below spec (thats right)

only the default settings work

anyways, gotta get a new cooler first :)

btw, flashed the bios from 0503 to 0706 or whatever the newest one is

still no overclocking from the bios...

the asus overclocking software in windows allows me to increase the fsb though...and all softwares show load voltages(orthos 2 instances which is 4 threads) of 1.184 volts (speed fan, asus software, and cpu-z) at 2.7ghz which just seems wrong or this chip is a gem :D

bumpity :)

still cant OC from bios :(

can anyone tell me what settings to keep the mobo overclocking jumpers on?

it has the standard jumper to allow upto 1.7volts on the cpu, and another setting which allows upto 2.1volts :O

also, what does fsb strap do???

hey what performance level is your ram running at??
its called common performance level
i think that is the problem

they are mate no doubt but its where my proc runs at 3.4 Prime stable for 12hrs :)

and its on Performance Level.

^^you didnot mention the performance level man :)

it defaults at 5 i think....which is really good but then the fsb cant increase

i set it to 8 and could go to 3ghz(1.3volts,didnot try lower).... now waiting for new cooler to arrive before pushing higher

my p35 board with e2140 runs at 400fsb at performance level 6

hi..i am using the same mobo with E8400 and i have just made changes to 2 options whihc is vcore is 1.36 and dram 2.0 . i am using cm hyper 212 and ocz hpc reaper..the idle temp for 2.6 ghz is just 33-34 and full load - 42 . works perfect np. havent tried more than 3.6 yer but gonna try for 4.0 ghz soon...

i had to OC from windows asus software once, and then OCing from the bios started to work

before that any changes from the bios would result in no boot

wierd
