lol.... fast and HOW!

ad1.... shud teach u to GO galivanting with **** and doing ******* in wednusdays :D

hats off to funky the monkey :D

Good effort funky. but i am sure you can push it to 440mhz fsb. on air !!!....

ps: Is watercooling required at all for C2D setups when it gives such fantastic results on air. point to ponder i think.

I have seen many wannabe wc users switch back to Air cooling on C2D platforms the world over.

Welll watercooling is not only for over overclocking but for silent operations too... So i guess its okey to go for watercooling setup... Though a person who likes to updrage something or the other every three months its not such a good idea :D...

True, and I'm primarily going water for silent operation - that's why I haven't splurged on something extravagant, just got the basic H20-120 kit :)

Just for kicks, little more :P

Those who wondering my specifications its all in my sig people :P

Its stable enough for superpi 1M. I didnt run prime or anything as temps were spiking on stock cooler. But last night i did dual prime on 3.6Ghz it was stable for 1.5 hours when i stopped it and went to sleep.

Hopefully, my P5WDH should arrive this weekend... if it does, I will try to chase your score on stock cooler too lol :D

Trust me you will need atleast 2 fans for good airflow over the chipset and the pwm circuits for any substantial 24 x 7 o/cing on c2d platform.

(if the rig is in the case i.e.) and then there is requirement of a fan to cool the pwm circuits of gfx card too even if they are wc too.
I am not saying w/c is bad or should not be attempted, Extremely passionate o/cers will go many a miles for that extra 1% gain in speed, may their tribe increase and god bless them:clap: ...but speaking from the point of view of poor, casual, practical users like me, the performance gains that one expects out of the rig is relatively less in C2D platforms then it was in previous generation platforms. for e.g. take the case study of funky here. 6600 has reached nearly 420mhz on air with some potential to go higher (if he tries that is)... i and many members here would surely love to see a comparitive study of o/c gains with and without w/c. so you C2D water guys start pumping & post your best results. this will help many members to "finalise" their proposed new rigs.

awesome funky :ohyeah:
whats the vore at? and this is the on the Intel 975XBX? really awesome :D

get some better cooling now :P

Congrats Funky.

I just hope I can chase the Score down though. Im gonna need a bit more than 3780 Mhz, maybe 3820 Mhz or So, to match youe 13.469 Seconds. Since, I have the P5B with looser timings.

Well, Imma gonna give you a run for your money though. Count on it :).

@ Karan, Buzz off dude. I have priorities, and computers, is my 2nd Priority. Lets see what you say, when I make my comback.

Come September 10th, Funky's score will be beaten. :bleh:.

congrats funky ...amazing stuff ...keep going man.

@adi
no use talking ...do the number crunching ...:bleh:

Aaoo!! Lolita!!:P
I mean super sexy- and this was just a casual OC on stock cooling!!:O

Time to get rid of my sig(cant get rid of rig- no money:P) and paste Funky's there!!:ohyeah: :ashamed:
