I hate Star Sports after they decided to open up 4 channels. F1 season starts from next month.
Will need to go to my local cable operator and get the required channel added to my account.
Also I have to pay in advance for 3 months so need to know on which channel it will be shown live?

I checked their schedule on StarSports.com but they have not uploaded the schedule for March yet.

Star Sports 3 is probably 24 Hrs Hindi so no F1 on SS3

Star Sports 1 is possibly for popular sports in India so chances of F1 on SS1 are slim

Mostly SS2 or SS4 would be telecasting F1

Well knowing them, how they forced people to watch F1 in star sports 2 for a couple of races ,despite the fact that star sports 1 or ESPN was perfectly capable of showing F1, but instead they where showing some repeats of other sports.Hell they didn't even telecast it on ESPN HD,so that people can subscribe to the then new star sports 2.

My DTH at that time didn't even have star sports 2 so when i mailed fox sports asia then said you can also watch them on the internet live on their website,in some crap resolution and compression.

I stopped watching star sports. Only once a while i watched the sochi games on ss4. Luckily whenever i watched i saw records being broken. :D

I thought espn became ss4. Is espn & espn hd still available as separate channels?

On HD,there are breaks but the frequency of Ads is much lower and the breaks in majority had ads of the upcoming events.
if on HD, just get both the HD channels.
watching F1 on HDTV with Sd resolution is crappy now.

I am planning to get the Tata Sky Annual HD pack. My mega lite pack is about to expire so might as well do this.

I was planning to go for recording service as well but 4K extra for that and the service is provided is not convenient. If they could store the program at their end and provide it to me as VOD and charge an annual fee according to the amount of space I want on their servers I would have opted for it. Keeping my Tata Sky box on for recording shows is stupid. Especially considering I wanted to avail to this service because Tata Sky signal is very bad during the rainy season and if there is no signal I can't record anything.

Here is a question can I use HDMI for video and AV for audio? My HT system has only 1 optical input which I am using for my WD Live.

I'll save you the money. Vettel is going to win.
This season may be a bit exciting in the beginning with wheels coming off or cars breaking down and giving the midfield a chance to get some good points. The cars wont be very reliable at the start of the season.[DOUBLEPOST=1393177486][/DOUBLEPOST]

:(
So I need to wait for Start Sports to upload their March schedule to know which channel is going to broadcast F1?

@letmein - Don't think Vettel will dominate. He will stand some chance if Renault fixes the engine and the other reliability issues are sorted out. Mercedes and Mercedes powered cars looking strong.

@hotshot05 - As far as midfield is concerned - I think Force India will move up in front of Lotus, Williams have done a few things right so far this season. Sauber going backwards, Toro Rosso moving up.
Tail enders - Will pretty much remain where they are.
Sharp End - Mercedes look good and so do McLaren. There were some doubts in regards to Ferrari engine but atleast they are better off than RBR. If Ferrari is sandbaggin then the prancing horse can be a real dark horse considering they have 2 able horses pulling their chariot. At the moment things are not looking golden for the golden boy and his team.

If you have a good internet connection then you can watch F1 online through the Starsports.com website!

They haven't yet updated the site with the cost details but it was there last year so i'm sure it'll be back this year.

The quality was also quite good...720p(2048 kbps) if i'm not wrong...

Sadly I don't have that good a connection. I use BSNL EVDO and even though download speed is pretty good, it is not too good for streaming.

Hmm they have different quality options. Try streaming a few videos on their site.

They have this awesome feature called timeline where you can go back to any moment of the race/game when it is being streamed live.
