I got this offline suggestions:
https://www.dell.com/en-in/shop/lap...pd/inspiron-14-5430-laptop/in5430nyk54001sds1
₹ 75,490.00
With intel 13th gen cpu but lower gpu

VS
₹ 77,990.00
Intel 12th gen gpu
This has offers:
1. Extra ₹2,500 discount on Credit Card/UPI/Netbanking transactions
2. Get Alienware Gaming Mouse with an MRP of ₹8599 for only ₹999 during checkout

I am also wondering if this high-end laptops are really required for IGCSE Grade 9 and 10 child ?
Or probably I am stressing much on gaming laptop which is increasing the budget a lot ?
You are stressing too much IMO.

This meets all requirements, just that it's a bit heavier & bigger than 14" multimedia options. Will save you some money as well, get an extended warranty from HP.

70k+ for 3050 is expensive. No kid needs the multicore performance of high end CPUs. 3050 will run all the games available, will have to sacrifice quality or even resolution in new heavy games.

It helps to know what your priorities are in order to zero in on something. If you want the highest price: performance, gaming laptops are not a bad way to go. I'd suggest looking at Acer Nitro 5 series while you're considering this route.

Thanks,
Can anyone help, what GPU comes with this
ASUS Vivobook 15 OLED (2023), AMD Ryzen 5 7530U, 15.6" (39.62 cm) FHD OLED, Thin and Light Laptop (16GB/512GB SSD/Windows 11/Office 2021/Backlit KB/FP Sensor/Black/1.7 Kg), M1505YA-LK541WS

I had Geforce 650 ti Boost on last PC and my preferred games ran perfectly fine (with medium graphics settings)
So any gpu better then Geforce 650 ti boost will do all needful for me..
So just wondering, If can further cut down costs, keeping 16Gb/512 GB prime requirement.

Is this as issue with amazon or I am not able to understand something here.
When signed as a normal/regular user I get price for this laptop as

ASUS Vivobook 15 OLED (2023), AMD Ryzen 5 7530U, 15.6" (39.62 cm) FHD OLED, Thin and Light Laptop (16GB/512GB SSD/Windows 11/Office 2021/Backlit KB/FP Sensor/Black/1.7 Kg), M1505YA-LK541WS

under your regular account, you are seeing the pricing of Rs. 62990/- while the MRP of the product is Rs. 81990/- here too you are saving about Rs.19000/- but it is not showing you that.
under your business account, you are seeing the pricing of Rs. 52533.90, exclusive of GST, and Rs. 61990/- inclusive of GST so you are saving about Rs. 1000/- (possibly a different seller offering lower pricing) the MRP is 81990/- so instead of saving Rs.19000/- you are saving Rs. 20000/-

as for which model to go with, i would suggest this from your shortlisted laptops

HP Victus [Smart Choice }Gaming Laptop 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12450H 15.6" FHD IPS (Windows 11 Home/16GB RAM/512GB SSD/NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics/144Hz/Backlit KB/B&O/Alexa/MSO/Xbox),15-fa0666TX

Thanks for all your suggestions, going to make a purchase this weekend..
Still not decided which laptop I should purchase (going to visit some local shops like Vijay Sales and Croma first)

A relative made good points to me if laptop is bought primarily for kids studies (IGCSE Grade 9 and 10)

1. I have shortlisted best laptops as per my budget, but again does the kid really requires such powerful laptop for studies
2. I would not consider buying such a powerful lap for my kid especially if it was his/her first one.
3. Not to go for a gaming laptop which can play all latest games but very light games only
4. Buy a basic one and let them learn to use it efficiently and give them a more powerful one later.
5. RTX3050 with 144hz could get them hooked & these games can be addictive.
6. With below system requirements relative said to go without a DGPU laptop (I understand its gpu onboard or in cpu)
Any lap with Ryzen 5 7000 or intel i5 12-13th gen with be solid
{{ i5 1235U | Intel Iris Xe Graphics | Test in 14 Games in 2022 | HP Pavilion 15
}}

As kid only plays 2 games (NFS Most Wanted released in 2012 and Far Cry Primal) these are recommended system requirements for both to run smooth

Recommended requirements (60 frames per second)
CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K | AMD FX-8350 or equivalent
RAM: 8 GB
VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 | AMD Radeon R9 280X or equivalent
DEDICATED VIDEO RAM: 3072 MB
PIXEL SHADER: 5.0
VERTEX SHADER: 5.0
OS: Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
FREE DISK SPACE: 20 GB

Prime Requirements:
16 GB Ram/512 GB Storage as prime requirement for Windows 11 usage.
Screen Size - 15.6"

13 years, wife might use it rarely, mostly on weekends only in evening for a movie
The game has lots of gore, cannibalism, sexual content etc ( about right for the time period it's set in) ..just a heads up if you aren't familiar with it.
I agree with your relative, better to get a not so powerful laptop, maybe something with a not so bad iGPU. Also. keep clear of Battle royale games, its a predatory game mode.

Sorry for late reply, I returned the dell laptop as it came open box and 2 days dell support to fix battery drain was useless.
Forgot to return DDR5 ram so kept it on sale here

Instead finally settled with https://www.amazon.in/dp/B0C7R342NJ/ and very happy till day.
Rest other things like backpack, mouse, deskpad, cooling thing, i am using as it is.

Can i add another 1 TB ssd to Asus laptop, it supports 2 drives ?

Planned to go for: Samsung 980 pro 1tb or Samsung 990 pro 1 tb

How much performance difference there will be 980 pro vs 990 pro ?
Read not much difference except double speed file transfers, no impact on game loads.

Also should I reformat and boot from 980 or 990.. using 512 TB HDD as backup
I am not sure if the stock drive which came alongwith laptop is SSD or HDD

The Stock storage Drive which u got with the laptop must be Gen3 SSD NVME, we can see in the image below. Now, coming to adding 1TB SSD, you can add it in another slot as all the slots support up to Gen4. So, if you're getting a good deal on 990 then why not?

Your laptop has an SSD & has a slot for another M.2 NVMe SSD.

I'm 99.9% sure both 980 pro & 990 pro are overkill for you.

This is more than enough & is another overkill Gen4 SSD, can buy its 2TB variant for like 11.5k:

Or this for a cheaper 2TB Gen4 SSD. Honestly I would have recommended a 2TB Gen3 SSD if those were priced right, like under 8k:

You can continue using the current SSD as OS drive but KC3000 will most likely be faster. Your call if you want to clone C drive to new SSD then reset the OS.

I am considering an addon SSD at the moment and 990 pro 1 tb comes under budget (7000)
Thanks for inputs.

But as you mentioned no need for swaping SSDs for booting laptop as there wont be much performance gain

Where are you getting 990 pro 1TB for 7k? I see it at 9k & 980 pro at 8k for 1TB.
