Onida TV Warranty Extention : Suggestion

Hello Friends,

My Onida 21" Black TV warranty (4 years) will end in this September. Till today just last month it have minor problem with Remote Sensor in TV. Company Mechanic Replaced it free but it still give some problem (not major/ can adjust with it).

But as the warranty comes to end, Technician ask me to RENEW WARRANTY for Next 4 years for total Rs.1800/- and he ask for Check.

He says that warranty cover Picture Tube.

What you suggest for, shall I go with RENEW WARRANTY or NOT. :S

If u r very sure u would still be using the same TV for the next 4 years, then extending the warranty makes sense. Also, perhaps u cud negotiate that rate a little.

YUP..same suggestion....if u think u r going to use...it for the next 4 years..than extend the warranty...also RS.1800 is not very bad ..for a 4 yr .warranty...

but if u are going to sell it..and ...then ..go for newer technology...then dont get the warranty..anywayz i dont think..any one will look for the warranty when u sell it to someone...its up to u !

IMO...go for it......you will have peace of mind for the time you will keep it. Even if you will sell it to someone........atleast he will appreciate and wont be bothered for repairs and eventually may give you a better price. I am not saying that you will be able to cover up ur 1800 amount spent, but it will be an advantage for him as buyer and you as seller.
