Why Hamachi? If you have any problems with Garena (For eg. setting it up etc.) don't worry everything will be explained.

why are you giving your steam id for css?it will be played using garena so give your garena id instead of the steam id.......

^Working with Hamachi is pretty easy , IMO, what issues are you facing with it ? I guess Meph would host a network - Say Mephs game room. You would need to install Hamachi and there is a button there which lets you join a network where you enter the network name (Mephs Game Room here) along with a PW and you are on the network. Now I guess in game everyone on the Hamachi network would be able to see each other.

The only version I used was 0.9.9 since that worked best with GTR2
