Storage Solutions Opinion about ultra slim usb drives?

hi guys,
Please need your help here. For some work, I practically need the usb drive to be on my laptop continuously and am reading and writing to it.

I have a CORSAIR 4GB, but it protrudes a bit too much and I think i might break it off someday. I was thinking of getting an ultra slim usb drive (like pny eBay India: PNY 4GB Pendrive 4 GB World Smallest-Life Time Warranty (item 260378294883 end time 23-Mar-2009 15:58:18 IST))

Any opinion on what drive should I get - anyone have any experiences good or bad with these drives? I'll be very grateful for any help.

i guesss dats the slimest u can get

the i ball pen drive is also slim but not as slims as peny

any idea about performance - i actually have to read and write 3GB data files. Any suggestions for this purpose?

I have a 4Gb PNY drive . Write speeds are ~ 14mb/s and Read ~ 21 mb/s

Which is quite slow compared to an internal drive, but if if you really need an external....
