deejay, can you post the 1M pi score, would help us in getting a balanced comparision. thought 1M score was the unofficial standard.

ps: 1M super pi is pretty useless for testing o/c stability imho. 32M super pi is a much better test for o/c stability testing.
 
anish, try running hynix at 3,3,3,8 i think that's the spd. using 1:1 you would be able to do 240@1T stable @ stock volts(doing it now on my foxconn), i am sure on your board you can push it further by increasing your vdimm.
 
Nah, I'm using the 4:3 (DDR266) divider now, that puts the memory at 178 Mhz with 2.5-3-3-7 timings @ 1T. Processor is stable at 2.5 Ghz with 1.525 volts...
 
Anish cant ur Hynix reach 230 @ 2.5-4-4-8 something.
Dont run ur ram so slow man.

Use 5:6 Divider and run at 3-4-4-8 if its not doing 2.5-4-4-8.

But frankly speaking there is no fun in running a ram at CL3

anish, dont you mean the 2:3 divider(ddr266mhz), so right now your memory should be doing 183 mhz, & your htt is around 278 mhz, correct me if i am wrong, do post a screenie.

also can you run everest's memory read b/w test & post back.
 
@dipdude --- The A8V is screwed up abt the mem dividers.... Like DDR 400 is not 1:1 but 2:1 or something like that. dont remember exactly(I just see the DDR xxx and proceed :P ) But the A8V is different from other mobos.

Well the stepping we guys got aint the greatest but it isn't bad ;)

For some more over a regular Venice 3k+ the 144 is good VFM and that extra 512kb of L2 cache seems to help. These chips are anyday better than A64's, run a *LOT* cooler (49C full load @ 2.7G) and are better overclockers.

Overall, I'm satisfied :)
 
^ got to agree with freaky here, why are you people hesitant in posting the rates at which you got your opty's, even if it is from abroad, if you post the rates it will help all our members.

lets see who makes a start :D

update : kitt has already posted about £140 , deejay - about $175.

I have already posted my purchase rate.
as regards to the current purchases let the concerned members post the prices .....
 
Prices are not posted for some particular reason... And those who know the prices which i quoted plz keep it to yourselves... There are some peeps who are trying to make some sale on TE for thier venices and if the opty pricing is out then it would be a little tough to sell those...
