PC Peripherals optical drives and virtual drive not working

Hey friends

Again i needed ur help. I have 1 dvd drive and 1 cd writer and i installed one cd mount software. Today when i open My computer it was not showing my optical drives and virtual drive and when i put the CD to check the drives it was not working. I checked the hardware property of these drive it says "Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot find the hardware device. (Code 41)"

plz guys help me out of this trouble asap.

which os? which cd mounting software? virtual drive is a piece of software. it should show up. does the dvd and cd led light up when u insert cds into them?

do they power up? can u hear the cds spinning?

Uninstall the CD mount software (DaemonTools? Alcohol?).. they're more trouble than they're worth.
