Hello Bretheren,
Jumping to th android bandwagon.....very late though....

need to try for atleast 6 months before going for a High end droid.

Budget is 10 k....can be extended to 12.5 K for bang for buck phones.

Priorities:

1) Decent Camera ( nt mentioning xMP as its more of marketing gimmick these days)

2) Battery of atleast 1.5- 2 days with moderate usage

3) Good after sale service..i knw this is silly...but it has been a painful experience getting my Sony E C905 serviced...and it is inevitable that the phone lands in service center during the warranty period( all my prev experiences)

I have listed my choices in the subject.....Help me choose the successor !

Please give ur detailed validation reasoning for your choices...if you can !

Cheers

Adding Galaxy Fit and upcoming Micromax A70 to the list ( yea I knw Micromax....but the Os is android ...how bad can it be ?)

Order a dell xcd35 from letsbuy with coupon today and get it for 8900, hurry up! Its the best out of the lot and time is running out!

Galaxy 551 only if you need a QWERTY as it has the least resolution among these phones.
O1 and XCD35 are available at almost same street price, but I prefer the cam on O1, for cam samples check out some samples and decide the ones you prefer.
Configuration wise both have the exact same cam, XCD35 has a higher resolution screen and the O1 512 MB RAM out of the box.
With XCD35 you need to root to unlock the full RAM.

PS: The letsbuy coupons expired on 30th april, the best deal you can get now is search for a 10% off coupon of ebay.

^^Now, even Dell XCD35 comes with 512MB ram unlocked directly from dell, two days back my friend received a Dell XCD35 with 512MB ram eventhough it was on android 2.1 instead of the newer stock which comes with 2.2 preloaded.

Galaxy 551 for hardware keypad(but 256MB ram makes it terrible slow)

O1 for VFM.

XCD35 for simple awesomeness, great screen, bang for buck, and amazing customizability(i mean add CM7 and whoosh)(

Im inclined towards quert because of my 'biger than usual hands'.

Galaxy 551 is slow while using general usage of some specific intensive apps /games.
If its slow for no specific reason thn it would nt be wise to pick a handset knwing the fact....

is xcd a good buy @ 9999 with froyo 2.2 ...m getting the San Fransisco UK model .
and does unlocking the ram involve any extra cost or ay problems with warranty?

thanks for all your help

Cheers

unlocking is a mod and you'll loose your warranty.

galaxy 551 is painfully slow with a pathetic 183MB internal memory for apps(which is more than half-filled courtesy samsung)
