Ordered the Wrong PSU – Can I Exchange It ?

Hey everyone,

I recently bought an NZXT C850 80+ Gold ATX 3.1 PSU from Elitehubs.com and received it three days ago. Unfortunately, I miscalculated my power needs and needed a 1000W unit instead. The package is still sealed and brand new.

Does anyone have experience with exchanging a PSU in this situation? Do most sellers allow an exchange if I pay the price difference?

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated!

Ask/explain them directly i would say. They are good guys (in my experience).

Just mail. See what they say? Most likely will reply in positive. If not sell. Take the l and get what you want instead

Yes, I did reach out to them, but I think I couldn't get a reply since they don’t operate online on Sundays. I also checked their site policies, but I was a bit unsure about how they handle exchanges in this situation, which is why I wanted to get some advice here.

Yeah, I’ll mail them first thing on Monday and see what they say. Hopefully, they’ll be open to an exchange, but if not, I’ll just sell it and move on. Thanks for the advice!
Update: EliteHubs declined my exchange request, so I have no choice but to sell the PSU. What’s the best way to sell it, and is ₹500 below market price a good enough discount? Any advice would be appreciated!

Sad to hear that. Techenclave marketplace requires the item to be unboxed. So if you have better options to sell it as seal packed, try them. It's up to you, though.

Are you sure about the calculations this time? Maybe you will be fine with 850W?!

This. If you want to sell on TE, you'll have to break the seal and unbox. Else, you'll have to try other marketplaces.

What config are you trying to run that requires a 1000w PSU?
