PC Peripherals Ordering from MC.com: any issues?

^^^ plzz don advice him to wait.....his stuff is detained.....ill bet any amount on it.

@aditya......first u try n convince them dat u hav purchased those stuff online n hav the invoice with u......if they ask abt IC code(import export registration code), convince them dat its for ur personal use. N if they don agree....then do wut i mentioned....ask for shetty. He might charge u sumtin like 1000 bucks n get ur stuff cleared.....n if u want ur stuff delivered directly to ur doorstep....then pay 100 bucks to the clerk who stands near the entrance....he will deliver ur stuff the next day.

Alright, its all done.

My Perf-PC Order was the one stuck.

My Petra order got through without any hassles or Duty.

Now, about the Perf-PC order..

Well, I told them I ordered it from so and so store, and gave them my Invoice. They believed it to be genuine.

Hank Baron (Owner of Perf-PC) didnt help me much. He had declared the value 175$ and 43$ Shipping.

Fortunately, I got the Customs official to understand that the Declared amount was marked higher for Security of the Package.

So, what he did was, 78$ on my Order (acc. to my Invoice), and added 43$ Shipping amount, which was written on the box. Multiplied it by 45 and imposed a STAGGERING 21.6% DUTY ON IT!...

Tomorrow, at my local post office, I have to pay Rs.1103 Duty on my PC-Perf Order, and pick it up.

Petra order was let through, because I explained to them, that they were Plumbing parts :rofl:... Funny shit. But it was cleared before I got there.

Oh, I had to pay Rs.200 as "Customs Clearance Amount" a.k.a.

"Bribe"...
 
^^^good on ya mate.....so its cleared........one thing we gotta learn frm this....avoid postal services to ship comp hardware.

Bloody hell..

Well, I got my packages today itself.

I had to pay Rs.1644 Customs Total.

Rs.1103 for the PC-Perf Order, and Rs.341 on the Petra order.

Also, I had to pay Rs.100 Postage Charges :S, WTF?

Anyways, Im just happy I got my packages, with everything Im them, and Intact. :).
