The game had a lot of issues on the PC at launch, not sure if they have been fixed yet.
It's more of the same If you've played the first one but with the visuals turned up a notch. As much as I liked the art style in the Blind Forest, I couldn't play past 7 hours because I didn't like the controls.
Since it's also metroidvania, there's a ton of backtracking which I ain't a fan of either but I'll give it another shot soon enough. Both games also have difficulty spikes in certain sections so keep that in mind too before deciding to purchase,
