Have a ORICO 5 Bay USB 3.0 to SATA External Hard Drive Enclosure purchased from Amazon India . Cant find the invoice or listing and cant remember purchase date .
It was available on Amazon India in Nov 24 itself for 17k from Orico Direct . Seems sold out and now 4 bay is listed . https://www.amazon.in/ORICO-External-Enclosure-Support-Aluminum/dp/B08342JM8Z?th=1
Its literally unused . Must have used for 4/5 days then packed it back . Took out once a month to back up data from my laptop for few months
Have complete original packing as seen in pics . Its heavy , full metal construction
I have tried to cover everything through pics

I am open to exchange also if something decent comes along

What would the speed be like using this USB3, vs just SATA ports on the Mobo on the PC?

I can only tell for USB3 ,70/80 Mbps I think

Speed test . Transfering from my laptop(SSD) to my desktop boot SSD of my desktop - 290MBps .
As per company webpage https://www.orico.cc/usmobile/product/detail/id/6775
it shows 230MBps per bay so seems decent

SATA port on mobo will give around 300MB/s for SSD and 120MB/s for HDD

To get the best performance tests please create a raid 0 or a jbod using windows storage spaces on the orico chassis & create a virtual disk in the memory using imdisk.
Transfer a 10 gig file if possible both ways & try to saturate the 5gbps usb 3 bandwidth.

I understand. However thats doesnt hit the bandwidth threshold of USB 3.0
It would be very attractive to the buyers if the device is able to saturate that. Not many devices can do that.
Your current speed is likely to be bottlenecked by the sata device in the orico or your sata / nvme device in your laptop.
What I suggested may inform us all about the bottleneck & as I said make it more attractive to purchase.
