Over-the-ear Headphones under 3k

I thought that you gamers cannot do without that impactful thump hence all gaming headsets were like that. Looks like I am wrong.
What do you mean "you gamers"? Don't single out people or groups bruh... I feel insulted. I don't even game 2 hours in a good week. :P
BTW bass would actually hurt game sounds especially in competitive games where clarity and source/direction is crucial. Hence most gaming headphones are lacking that thumping bass which you can find in almost every other in-ear headphone/bluetooth options selling otherwise as "non-gaming".

I usually play using monitor speakers or used to play using Logitech 2.1 till 2018 Jan.
Some people use headphones
Likewise I am saying
That's all
No offense man.

It was not my intention to insult gamers .. lol
It is just that I am not a gamer and whenever I tried any of the gaming headsets I found them to be a little too warm compared to the normal headsets. While I always EQ as per my preference and some of these gaming headsets have audio processors for virtual surround, trying to EQ these is a nightmare ( I actually had a Logitech THX headphone, forgot the model but used 2 x AAA cells to run that surround sound unit ). I admit though that this was many years ago so things may have changed. Anyways we are way out of topic so I will end my rant now.

Also many gaming headphones are not bass heavy. Quite the contrary.

Sound Quality
Bass is welcome while playing SP games but during MP it gets difficult to hear your teammates + enemy footsteps.

I agree, I don't understand how gaming headphones need bass to be heavy..Heck I don't understand what exactly is considered as gaming headphones. Many are bass heavy, some are neutral and some have mid bass and treble emphasized...And yet all these come under gaming category. Is it becz they just have boom mic?
But then people (reviewers and youtubers) say ditch the gaming headset and get normal headphones..I am too confused. The only thing I understand is the necessity of footsteps for multiplayer games . And ofcourse there is directional/surround sound which maybe like snake oil in inexpensive models.
I've used the Eksa E900 (non pro), sound quality was good for the price (goes for 1700-1800) but the mic volume on both the E900 and pro is super low even when boosted (not an issue for you since you don't need the mic anyways plus it's detachable). The Onodio and Eksa 900 Pro both have the same drivers btw.
Also these headphones are made by the same Chinese OEM, Fire Boltt too has a rebadged E900 of their own now along with rebadged Onodio models.
I found the bass on the Soundcore to be a bit too much tbh but it's still a decent buy during sales.
Ya, all of them seem similar. But somehow eksa seems the most recommended product. Most people seem to have liked it for its bassy sound.

Avoid the JBL quantum 100 at all costs, it's garbage for the price.
Any particular reason? A youtuber (techflex) was praising it for neutral sound and great mic. I kept it on priority list and enquiring few stores for demo actually.

The best budget headphones imo are the Philips SHP9500, too bad they're ridiculously priced over here. If you know someone in the US it regularly goes for $60.
Philips doesn't seem to want to sell it in India. If we add taxes it might go till 10k..I am guessing here based on how tax is added to iphones.

It's not like gaming headphones are all trash, it's the cheaper ones that are mostly trash and not worth the money.
I've actually used decent gaming headphones in the past like the HyperX Cloud 2, they certainly make games more immersive and it's not all snake oil (except for the lousy 7.1 tag) but I didn't want to spend 10k for a gaming headset atm hence the renewed G331.

It's the poor build quality, it just felt too cheap.

Importing it is a no-go ofc, I meant if someone could carry it for you here then nothing like it.

I see...good info

Na bro, I meant, even if Philips want to sell here, it still won't be as cheap as they get in US.

I recommend Edifier W800BT. Got one 3-4 years ago, still rocking them. I use them 8-9 hours daily as my work is audio related. I wore off the ear pads, so I had to get replacements. But the headphones themselves are sturdy af. Comfortable too for longer sessions. My Sony ones kept breaking earlier. I like these so much I got a new one for wife too. I am not much knowledgeable on SQ, so I wouldn't make any claims, but these sound natural to my ears. BT connection also works flawlessly, never had a drop. Battery lasts 5-6 days, sometimes a week even with heavy usage. These can also be used as wired, without BT.

@Ssreek bought anything?
I tried my neighbor's oneodio and i wasn't impressed, it actually felt on the ear.. In another reddit discussion, one guy explained about sound signatures and feedback on few models. As per discussion with him, and after some research, i was convinced hyperx model that costs at 6k was ideal choice.. I decided to buy it.. But then something strange happened the next day..

In 2 months one of my relatives is coming from US... and they agreed to get me headphones. So mostly based on @psyph3r 's comment, I'll get shp9500/ some sennheiser model based on what they can bring..
