man-o-man...how can this motherboard be so much recommended? yes it did work deepak....tyvm....but with such fsb holes how can it be a recommended overclocking motherboard, if i didnt have my TE experts with me, i would have kept on trying anything and everything but still might not have worked it out.

Though i was starting to miss my p5b dlx but if this motherboard passes orthos test for the next 24 hours then maybe i will forget all the problems it gave to me.
Congrats on the nice OC and Kudos to Deepak too apart from everyone else who posted with suggestions here!!

BTW, I think u have a TR ultra120 extreme now.:drool2:

And what did you think overclocking is all about- zero effort task or spoonfeeding?:bleh:

i think you are way to late in the party bro....spoonfeeding? bro go through the thread, i never needed any help, but i didnt know about the fsb holes when using my particular chipset with this motherboard. And you may not have noticed this, deepak is certainly great with his help, certainly appreciate that, but it was funky who nailed the issue by telling me specific working fsb's.

banik..
that screenie shows a core speed of 2325 Mhz . . .:S

also, more than the who pitched in with wat, its the fact that everytime u had a query some one or the other was there to pitch in with their inputs :) thats wats important..

anyways, congrats on a great OC..now breach that 3.5gig barrier :bleh:

ofcourse i am not undermining the fact that i got help from the experts here, but would you call that spoonfeeding? and ofcourse i remember u suggested the bios upgrade without which this foooooking mobo would not have let me oc past 2.2.

that is intels speedstep i think, when on idle the multiplier drops to 6, though u can multiply the bus with 9 to get the clock speed. Already breached 3.5 Ghz, to be precise 3.55Ghz but have to pass insane volts, 1.58v. Was stable too but got a pi score of 17sec compared to the present 17.406 sec, so not going to keep it for 24/7.

Seems like i got your goat and though i did not want to undermine your efforts in any way but you took things more seriously than what i was saying.

-it is you who was reluctant to upgrade the BIOS.
-It is you who didn't know about FSB holes (Funky had mentioned it in his thrd iirc) and admitted that you wouldn't have tried more if u didn't have OCed you proccy to 2.9G on the P5B and if TE Experts didn't help you.
-It is you who says Funky gave you the specific working fsbs.:O

-it is you who questioned the P5NE-SLI's budget OCing prowess.
You declared it bad w/o knowing the whole issue.

I guess overclocking is about working your way around obstacles and unleashing the max potential of your h/w.:cool2:
That's why i asked if you comprehend OCing as a zero effort task or spoonfeeding- not necessarily applicable to your case- but what you thought it was.
Coz you yourself said i am baffled though i not new to overclocking and hence that was a mock question- a joke.

If the P5NE Sli is crap, why woud budget OCers get it over the awesome and proven P5B these days, on which you managed 2.9G.
Ohh- maybe you didn't try higher- my bad.:P

Coz there are some who give up and then go around badmouthing stuf when in the first place they haven't tried enough and again- i am speaking in general.:cool2:
Such ppl would in such a case, give up, go back to their P5B and sell their P5NE saying just bought for friend, tested but do not need.:P

That's why the congratulations in the first place- coz you kept asking the right questions, fought on and you have emerged a wiser person with a much better OC.:)
Coz that's the best part about OCing.:P

Now what did i say wrong.:ashamed:

@Bikey, lol Intel se Mental tak, nice siggy :bleh:

@thebanik, chill re, 'course you fought on and like Bikey said the important thing was you asked the right sort of questions, as for not needind help, lol hey who doesnt need help sometimes in life eh :P

Spoonfeeding comes when I have to go to a friends place to OC their PC (thank god atleast now they can install their own windows )

omg...whenever bikey writes, its such a long post...@deepak ...yaar i am chilled out, just that am a bit short of patience and dont like to hide my feelings even when writing in forums, sometimes reading it later on make me feel,,,my god why did i write that....neways would try to oc some more today after i reach home...my ram has been playing pretty nice uptill now, lets see how much far i can take the ram and cpu.:hap2:

"hum bolega toh bologe ki bolta hai".

"short mein bolta hai toh public misunderstand karta hai".:ashamed:

Main Karoon toh kya karoon?:Comp3: :stup1:
