Thanks for your help. Pls also tell what should be the maximum temp. which should not be crossed in CPU core.
dont worry, you'll fry ur cpu before reaching such high temps :P (because to reach such temps like 60, you need such high core clock, and hence huge vcore, which simply will fry the core with a weak cooler)

I hv currently put all temp. to their normal settings and hv increased the FSB to 235 which has resulted in 3.4 ghz. The temp. are coming around 55'C.

Hope that this is decent overclock on a stock cooler. What happens if i continue with these settings for long time. Will it fry my processor?

The temp. were checked using CPU-z and Hardware monitor. I checked the stability with Intel burn test..

well, burn test stresses the cpu to the maximum, while such a scenario(or that level of stress) dosent occur while playing games or the like.that is a good overclock.also, remember to clean out your cpu heatsink if your pc is in a dusty place.frequently.
regards

Why r u saying that?

^^^^he meant that to reach 60c you have to increase your cpu core voltage to something like 1.5v......which will fry your CPU instantly.....mean no boot with an small spark and burnt smell....

I have reduced the cpu core voltage to 1.35 from the default 1.375 and hv used 14.5 multiplyer with 236 bus resulting in 3.42 ghz. I hv also reduced the ram multiplyer to 6.6 from its default 8.0 and is 11.11.11.30 and ram is running at 1576 mhz. I have also made one of the two fans in the side of my Bijli cabinet as exaust fan and the other is at default.

Now the temperatures are minimum 25'C and maximum 54'C. My default temp. are 23'C and 57'C. So lowering the cpu voltage resulted in 2-3'C reduction in Temp. Current Delhi's Temp is aprox. 40'C.

i believe youre still on stock cooling.get a better cooler.maybe you can push it even higher.but, temperatures will definitely fall.

or,if you arent really needing whatever extra performance your cpu gives you at this higher speed, back off a little to where temperatures and lesser on load

Delhi is smoldering. Was out the whole day today, got 1st hand experience :P

ur stats look pretty good. Congrats, you've hit the sweet spot. U can probably continue this setting 24x7 now.

Btw, what speed is your RAM running at right now?

ram is running at 1576 mhz

As given above my ram is running at 1576 mhz.

Yes, I am still on stock and just to tell you that the current temp. are less than the default temp. as given above.

ok ok, you are great. ram speed is perfect.

yeah the fan is loud, but in this heat, when you turn up the room fan, it drowns the cpu cooler

I have reduced my OC to 3.31 ghz as I have also reduced the vol. to the CPU to 1.31 from the default 1.375 and it is still running stable.

Is there any way to open the L3 cache?

They are deneb cores.basically locked PhenomII's made to meet supply.all later Athlon II x4 processors are propus core ones-without the L3 on the die.Of course, some athlon II X3's are also deneb core chips.
