P2P software other than BT...?

uTorrent works really well for me ... very small footprint and pretty configurable. If you don't care about the footprint, Azureus is also worth looking into.
 
It seems everyone fav is BT networks, and why not. It overcame all the other problems of other P2P networks. Its more reliable and faster. You can read how BT network works at my Techtree Article over here. And the number of ppl who have accepted BT are so high, I doubt any other network has so many users. So, the potential of BT networks are even higher.

Personally, I use utorrent most of the time and sometimes limewire for searching certain audio files.

I also use shareaza - connects to edonkey + bittorrent + gnutella 1 and 2
