Went with my friend to lamington Road on Satuday to buy intel e4400 with Asus p5b ld2 vm, but it was out of stock, so most of the dealers told me to get the Asus P5B-MX/WiFi-AP mobo for around 3600 rs.

Didnt get the board coz i didnt know what to do. Cant find any reviews for this board.

Shld i get this board for my friend who wants a cheap c2d mobo and 8600 gt later.

Does this board support ide drives.

Learn to read before u decide to write, first of all its the P5B-MX being discussed here, and second of all the P5B Dlx does have an IDE port

^^ I was thinking of writing something... but now I have enrolled in reading sessions, as thats the pre-requisite to writing...
On a serious note, dude take a chill pill. Its ok the bloke got it wrong. Went your anger/frustrations/resentment someplace else and keep the forum clean! :hap2:

I got about 2 of these boards for friends who wanted to build cheap C2D's with wifi, the board is decent, supports IDE and does what it is supposed to, it's based on 946GZ chipset and not 965, so don't get confused by the P5B thing. And the price is correct, it costs around 3.6k.

You'r right.. i DO know better.. you have the same board! cant you see the IDE port to the side? and how do you think my LG GSA H42N works then? (read the whole siggy atleast and not only the start :P)

All boards will most likely have and IDE port.. If not not controlled by the chipset then like the p5b dlx, they'l have 3rd party drivers for it (jmicron)

I assembled a couple of rigs for my friend with this board, it's a decent board if you want to run at stock and it does have a IDE port

Thx guys, will get this board then.

When i heard that this board has wifi n the cost is just 3.6k, i was shocked. :O
