CPU/Mobo P5WDH Deluxe Temprature's

mobo - touching 51 Deegrees
cpu - 45

is this normal ?
P5WDH users, please comment on this
 
Take off the 'shiny' covers off the heatsinks! (the ones with 'Asus' and 'digital home' printed on them)
 
too hot. Should be max 6-8 degrees hotter than a P5B dlx. remove the shiny cover from the N/B HS. Its a pucca heat trap. That should lower temps a good 5 degrees or so. Could try putting a small fan atop the heat sink if you want more cooling.
 
I agree it's best to use 40mm fans on both NB and SB if possible (helps on OCing). I use fans on both and SB temps are like 30-31 idle.

Most P5W SBs are concave, some less-some more.

i'd suggest swap the stock thermal paste with AS5 on both the chipsets. remember to put a thicker layer on SB.

what fans are u using on the nb & sb & where did u get them. i am interested
