I have been transferred from Kolkata to Bangalore.
Now I need to shift my household items to Bangalore.

My company has mentioned two Packers-n-Movers providers, else they'll not reimburse the expenses. The stated providers are
Frankly I have never heard of them. I was planning to go for either Agarwal or Leo - which ever cheaper. But now I'll have to choose between these two.

From their websites it's seems they are kinda premium guys in this business, but I couldn't find any review for AGS4 and few reviews for Writer's in mouthshut (which are again not very reliable).

So, anyone here have any idea/clue/review about these guys?

TIA.

People from my company used to use AGS4 for international relocation. As far as I remember ( 10 - 12 years back ), it was good. People used to move between France & India a lot ( I was working in a french company ). I think full insurance is very important.

Ask your company if insurance is covered under reimbursement. If so, you shall be ok with them.

A timely thread indeed...

I live in Pune and am shifting from Wanowrie to Viman Nagar. I need suggestions for a decent and not too expensive moving/packing service. Agarwal has a good reputation but there seem to be two of them (not sure which one is legit) and there are horror stories about all of them.

Most of the furniture (for a 1bhk) is old but in decent condition, so I'm not too bothered about marks and scratches etc. Basically (after reading a lot of reviews) I don't want to be fleeced by the company i.e. last minute charges, tips, etc.

@Maestro
I had used Agarwal before. They are indeed good. From my 1 and my friends' 3 experiences with Agarwal, there wasn't any problem at all. The stories in mouthShut are horrifying - but they are there for all such packers and I had to choose one. I suppose the Agarwal with the toll free number (something with 5001/6001) is the one I had used before.
If you find Agarwal a bit costly, Leo is another good option. Recently my friend transferred his stuffs from Kolkata to Pune, and it was hassle free and they were almost 30% cheaper than Agarwals.

Well, Leo apparently doesn't (yet) do intra-city moves; not soon enough for me, anyway. The two Agarwal's have such similar looking webpages and phone numbers so it's difficult to tell between them.

The search continues...

We had relocated our goods and stored our house hold items with AGS four winds. Our experience with them was great. They came for Evaluation on time, their packing was really appreciable, polite were the crew, and very careful handling. Our items were kept in their storage for 13 months. And when we received it, all packages were in good condition, and no boxes were missing or broken,No evidence of rodent damage. And the most impressive element was their punctuality.
They are really professional and experienced in this field.

Oh this old thread being bumped.
Let me take this opportunity to tell my old story (old because after that shift in 2013, I have shifted two houses - inside Banaglore though :P)

I had used AGS 4 Winds during my shifting from Kolkata to Bangalore. I found people on both sites very professional. I had very nice experience with them.

The best part was, unlike Agarwal who takes the stuffs and also the money before delivering, AGS guy shifted my stuffs without even tal, king about the bill. The guys who came in Kolkata and Bangalore had no idea about the bill, and they delivered the items. Later I asked for the bill - which I had produced in my company for reimbursement and paid those guys when reimbursement was processed. :D
