Graphic Cards Palit 9600GT or Zotac 9600GT (not 'Amp!')

The zotac (at techshop) variant shows core clock speed as 725MHz. can't find such model in zotact website. How about palit 9600GT? is it any better or worse?
I am running a C2D4400 with 2gb667MHz. would a 9600GT be worth a buy assuming cpu will not be a bottleneck? or shalll I go for a cheaper option like HD4670?
Also suggest me a psu under 2k bucks.
 
go for 4670 + CM 460W Extreme PSU

considring 4670 requires less power ,a CM 460W will be enough .
n CM 460W will all be enough for a 9600GT
 
how much are you gonna be paying for the Zotac? you'll get 5 years warranty with it.. meaning better resale value.

as has already been mentioned the CM460 should hold you good on the power front.
 
I think for ur configuration, a 9600GT with CM 460 would suffice and there won't be any bottleneck to worry about as well.

The Zotac 9600GT normal one comes with a slight factory overclock and hence would be marginally faster than Palit one. However, Palit one comes with slightly better heatsink.

FTR, my Zotac Amp edition idles at 43 and the stock one should be even cooler. And i don't think Palit would be doing any better than this. Also do u really need it to be any cooler than a mere 40+?

So, both cards are nearly the same, u just have to decide if u are a cooling freak or a framerate freak...:P
 
thank you all for your replies. can anybody suggest me where to get the CM460 and zotac 9600GT in bangalore. I called Ankit infotech and he quoted me 6.8k for zotac 96000GT. any idea whether golcha or rajhans have better pricings?
 
U can bargain at Ankit but at Golcha the price would be more. Still, take a look at both stores.
I am not sure but I think u can also get it from Amarbir for a cheaper price. :)
 
so what'd be the ideal price for a zotac 9600GT?

I'm planning 4 upgrades this weekend
1. 2x512GB ddr2667 -> 2x1GB ddr2667 (friend got them from NP)
2. old PSU -> CM460 or POV black diamond 500w (any suggestions)
3. XFX 8600GT 256ddr3 -. Zotac 9600GT 512ddr3
4. need a new monitor. thinkin of dell 198WFP or a samsung one (suggestions)

guys i got these from Ankit computers in SP road, bangalore
dell 19" -> 8.5k
MSI 9800 GT -> 8.5k
had stretched by budget to get the 9800GT so ended up buyinh zebronics platinum 500w PSU. now when I connect it to mains power supply it doesnt start up. even the led fan in the psu doesnt light up. it seems to be dead. can anybody tell what might be the issue. is the psu faulty or is there smthing I am doing wrong?
 
PSU seems DOA, you should have opted for a better PSU. Anyways congrats on the new purchase !!!

yeah I realised that. gave it back and got a CM 600W:hap2:
now my almighty 9800GT is running.
