Up for sale is my old Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop. It was purchased as a desktop replacement laptop in 2002 for about Rs. 1,10,000. There are some problems in it but it still works albeit handicapped.

First let me provide you with the specs:

256MB, DDR, 266M (2 DIMM) - 1 DIMM has been replaced by a 512MB DIMM

Now the problems:
There is something wrong with the graphics card and I had been using it by disabling the card in device manager. I was told by a technician that it can repaired or replaced. The laptop still boots into Win XP without a hitch.
Second problem is that while tinkering around inside the laptop, trying to fix it, I accidently got the mouse trackpad to stop functioning. I am quite sure it is fixable. Probably a case loose connectors. Again an external mouse can be used.
I tried upgrading the firmware of the DVD drive and since then it has only played CDs. It's probably fixable by someone with knowledge of firmware upgrades.
The power adapter has undergone repairs. Works fine though.
Over time I've added new parts removed old parts. I've tried to mention as much as I remember.
This laptop is ideally suited to someone who wants to salvage it for parts (especially the 15 in screen) or someone who is willing to spend a little bit more to make this into a fully functioning laptop. It would work great in an office, after repairs.
You will get the laptop fully formatted. The laptop came with some original software which I will provide you with.
