i have a seagate 7200 rpm 120 gb hard drive that is PATA(ide) and about a year old.....and i want to connect another hard drive to my computer.....is there a problem if i connect a SATA interface hard disk from seagate?im eyeing the 200 gb 7200 rpm SATA seagate hard disk....and my motherboard is an asus that has sata as well as ide connections on it........can both be used together.....how will data transfer to each other be in that case.....will i have any compatibility problem with the older hard disk????plz reply in detail.....im a power user and have a very fast machine and just cannot do with a drop in speeds just 'cos of the silly interface incompatibility...plz help out...
its an asus p4p800x motherboard....with a intel pentium ht 3.0 processor and 1.25 gb of ram....just in case somebody who wanted to answer me needed any details
