Pathetic Asus Service

My Asus K8V went bust about a month back and i gave it to the dealer as it is still under warranty....but the lazy n hopeless ppl at Asus Service Centre(Digicom) are yet to give my mobo back after 4 weeks!!

I was told that my mobo went to Bangalore for repairs and shld be back within 2 weeks...but now its been 4wks n everyday i get the answer that my mobo is in transit from Banglore n i'll get it by next evenin!! :@ :@

I am really pissed off with this pathetic level of service shown by Asus....they dont even answer the phones at the Service centre!! and their standard reply is "sir u'll have the board tomm for sure"

Any suggestions as to wat to do??
 
Asus unless they get their own service center here in India, this will always be the case. Indian distros are asses, who have never heard of a concept called service, if they can even save 1 Rs, by offering bad service they will do that..

In any case ask for a replacement mobo from the place where you bought yor mobo, if you are in good terms with the dealers they enerally do provide a replacement mobo.

Well till last week i was having exams...so i didnt bother much abt the whle situtation....as for the dealer he is having trouble with 3 Asus K8V's including mine n few other Asus boards...and he says he doesnt have any replacement board to give me....
 
LOL man you are giving me creeps as I have an Asus k8V too..... Ask him for an K8n they are easily available now...
 
my asus a8ne is with rashi...went there yesterday..at 11 they told not..ready...i started screaming why the hell u told me its ready last week...... he told main guy will come at 2 pm.......now i had to spend 3 hours in the area wasting..then the main guy told its his counterpart mistak..and it will tak time.............i was lik why the hell its me again
 
The best thing to do in such a case is to write a mail to the manager at the digicomp service centre and then cc the mail to all the top dogs in the company. It always works.

You can easily find the email addresses at the company's india website. Or then just PM me ;)

I got the mobile nos for the top ppl at Digicom and after days of yellin n wasting energy i finally got the mobo today...

And guess wat is happening now...the Asus Probe is showing all voltages as low and the fan reading as zero!!

Now i dont know if the PSU is gone or the mobo!!
 
Guys help me out....

i just my mobo frmo Asus...it worked fine for a while but now all the voltages have gone haywire(all voltages are below normal) n the cpu fan speed is reported as zero by Asus Probe n the Bios..

I tried to clear the CMOS but it didnt help....i tried an older version of the Bios but still the same problem...

Everytime is boot the PC...i get the error CMOS checksum BAD n CPU voltage error!!

please help!!
 
i still guess wriath...their is an ic error...i also faced the checksum error problem even after changing the battery...placed a topic here..and the helpfull guys suggested mayb my mobo has error and i must ask for replacment...but i tried to console myself that its jus an error.....and then suddenly mobo went off..and all i mention here......

this time check the mobo frm ic chip repair guys in lammy...or 1 in andheri near navrang cinema(opposite to it....my frnd knows abt it better).........they tell to submit mobo...1 day...call 2 nd day and says whts the prob...and do u wish to correct it...if yes take it bak on 3rd day..or else jus tak it bak on 2nd day....as my frnd pointed out...it will hardly shelve 100-200 bucks thats it..and its better instead of wasting time in this service centers...
edit::regarding fan check u have connected the fan on proper connecter and not on chasis..etc...vtgs somone pls hlp this guy
 
My mobo is still under warranty...and the fan conenctor is connected properly...coz when i got the board everything was working fine for a while...and then suddenly all the nonsense began!!
 
even mine is in warranty..but this service guys doesnt repair any stuff i guess...and mostly wht they does is they return a mobo which they got frm somone else...and is not always new..................
if u got ditched by them once i jus said check it at local mobo repair sho ...atlest they dont charge for discovering fault......also if there is no fault they return bak..........
 
I gave my entire cabinet sans the hdd's n optical drives to Prime and it turns out that Asus K8V is at fault again!!!

Damm that Asus board i am gettin frustrated with this nonsense...my board reached Digicom on mon and today they supposedly blew 2 A64's testing other mobo's n so my mobo is still in the process of evaluation...damm those lazy a**!!

Guys please help me out!!
 
wraith and ppl do beleive me....asus.....r really not a worth product......those who hav there products & had gr8 xperince r really luky guys......i had such bad xperince that i went for intel low end sys...as my board is still with rma....i heard them they wont work untill 7th nov.........and almost 20 days hav passed......
thats the reason i asked and wanted to go 4 msi.........
nyways wraith ill pray 4 u...and u too pray for me...that all i can do to get my asus a8ne bak
 
Looks like prayin is the only option left for me!!!

I got A8NE!!
My mobo temps were always lower than procc temps!!
In the Grabit- if procc at 39-40 idle, mobo ay 37-38.
After few hrs on Q3, procc at 46-47, mobo at 43-44!!
Now in Antec- if proc at 39, mobo at 40-41.
anything wrong- impending doom even before i play Doom3!!
 
^^ i dont think so, my processor temp idles at 36~37 and my mobo idles at 33~34, under load i.e running stress prime for an hr he processor temp is at 48c and mobo temp is 44, either way the mobo temp is lower than processor temp and i think its normal.I too have A8N-E.

So lets pray for owners of Asus boards that nothing bad happens to the board, that incl. us too.

@Wraith hope you get everything fine this time man.

i had to get my chipset fan replaced on my asus a8n-sli deluxe :( .
first they just cleaned it and gave it back next day.... !!! it worked for a couple of days .. but i knew it was gonna clonk off anytime. and it did.. well just didnt wanna start!!!
so gave it back.. to em... they told me get my whole comp !!!! to chk the load and all even after telling em the problem exactly and what is to be done they didnt care to listen to me..
anyways got my memory and card and they tested for a day and then told me ya they`ll get the replacement fan in a day or two!...
and this shit continued for a good 5 days after which they finally gave me my board back with the replacement..
but my fan has died again.. loooks like i would need to go there again :(
btw do i get a chipset fan here at lamington road??
 
chic...no doubt u can get one......and i guess we ppl prefer 100-300 bucks mor than lazy servicing............check the fan shops in lammy there r many.........also can 1 assemble the fan himself?????
 
Well yesterday after much yellin n troublin the Digicom ppl(the service manger wouldnt answer my phone!! he would put random ppl on the phone) they told me that i'll be getting a replacement board on mon...

Hopefully this board shld be free of all trouble!! btw will windows XP accept the new board or will i need a re-install??
